To who I may concern;
I am an employee for Sodexo at Texas A&M University, and writing you to let you know of the situation that is accruing at this location. I have been an employee for about two years and I am very disappointed in company in a whole, I am a supervisor for one of the locations at Texas A&M University As an employee of sodexo I feel we as employees are being treated unfair and I have asked for help several times. The most upsetting part of this situation is that all upper management is aware of the situation and are not doing anything to make us or the problems better. Sodexo here is cutting hours so much just to make a profit and the GM (Gilbert Garza) can get a bonus at the end of the year. The cutting of hours are now threatening us to the point that we are losing our health insurance and maybe not have a job. I have seen the sales and we are one of the highest grossing, not only in sodexos eyes but in all the venues such as Starbucks, and Subway. With so much profit that is being made it can help us, but would sodexo rather make a profit on the broken backs of employees. How is that we in the lower levels of sodexo are but treated so bad and upper management is getting all the praise and bonuses. The atmosphere is so bad and working here is so tiring because of the shortage of people just to make your goal of a million dollars at the end of the year. I have worked in every venue that they have at this location in Texas, and every venue is suffering because of staff shortage! Each venue is required to have a set amount of works so that the venue and the customer are at the most highest satisfaction. Subway is required to have 3 works, Starbucks is to have 3 workers as well as Einstein’s bagel, but the GM only wants one person at each venue. Due to this shortage cleanliness and customer service is suffering greatly, and the GM is aware of this but say “deal with it.” The previous contractors dealt with the same problems that Sodexo is dealing with now but we never had to worry about our jobs, losing our health insurance, or lowering customer service just so that you can give bonuses to management that is make our jobs harder than they should be. All these cut backs make this working environment feel like a concentration camp where we have no say anything and have to work like a slave. I have even seen employees work off the clock just to help out others and not upset the GM (Gilbert). And Gilbert is aware of these employees working off the clock but he has turned a blind eye to it. The moral is so bad, that no one cares that we are breaking our backs for a company that doesn’t care for its employees. Even writing this letter feels like it will fall on blind eyes and deaf ears. That is why now reach out to whoever can help us in this time of need, I really don’t want to lose my health insurance or even more important my job just so that you can make a huge profit! So this letter will be email to Sodexo HR, Starbucks, Subway, Einstein’s bagel, the labor Board, and Corpus Christi Caller times so that everyone is aware of the situation going on at Texas A&M University. Please email me back to let me know if you are willing to help, or ask the employee that this location. Just be aware that management at this location is very cunning and have retaliated against anyone who has asked for help, it has happen to one of the supervisors that we to HR for help.

Sincerely,
Sodexo Supervisors
