Smart & Final review: Avoid at any cost guys

I’ve just brought some FS Chicken THIGs from Smart and Final Alhambra Store, while checking out, I’ve notice one of the package cost more than the other and has question the cashier “Yvette” to see if she could check the weigh on the package. But she said the register can’t weight the package at all so I use another similar package for comparison but she claim she could tell the different. She also have a comment “It’s on sale already, how cheap you want it to be?” what kind of stupid comment is that?

Anyway, I’m in a hurry to get to other appointment so I just leave it as it is and take the package home. However, when I get home and weight the package, sure enough, they one they labelled as 9.9lbs package only weight 5.06 lbs.. What a scrammer! So I took the package, get back in the car and drive back to the store and asked for the manager to weight the package for me. He’s unwilling to do it at first but I refused to give him the package back so he has no way out but weight the package on the register they claimed that it can’t weight anything. He saw the weight 5.06lbs on the screen but tell me the scale was wrong and just keep asking me to return it and get another one. I refused and demand that he weight it in the back where they claim the scale is. Sure enough he come back and said the package is only 5.00 lbs only.

When I asked how that could be mislabeled to 9.7lbs? He can’t give me any answer and just said “what do you want to do? Return it?” what kind of manager is that? I have to drive back and fore for their mistake and they won’t even said sorry, we made a mistake?

I got pissed and return the package and get another one. And since I’m mad at them I go home and weight the other package, and sure enough, I found another package labeled with 7.7lbs and the package only weight little over 5 lbs. It’s still in my freezer and I’m not in a hurry to drive back there to face the stupid manager yet.

I’ve brought lots of this over the summer and don’t know how many of them have been over charged!?!? This time alone is about $10.00.
