Just had Ryan do a follow up to find the source of a dampness issue appearing on the concrete slab area in the office. Ryan was very professional, performed numerous test and determined that we have a vapor barrier incursion and not a leak in the domestic water supply or drains. Numerous others have examined this issue and were never able to determine exactly where the dampness was coming from. We also likes the way Ryan explained each step and how he came to his conclusions.

The Sleuth technician (Randy) was very professional and capable, and he was responsive in explaining the plumbing system and questions I asked. He identified the location of a leaking hot water line under the slab and marked an entry point on the laundry room floor where a plumber could access the source of the leak. On my behalf, he spoke to the plumbing service I will use to do the repair and he explained what he found which gave the plumbing service a clear picture of the situation.

Sleuth is a professional first class company. We had a couple small leaks in our swimming pool and over the past couple of months they were getting worse. John the Sleuth Field Technician came out and quickly located the issues and did a wonderful job explaining to my wife and I what he was doing and what to look for in the future (most common leak areas). John had a great attitude and it was obvious that he enjoys what the does and the company that he represents! I highly recommend Sleuth!

Sleuth was able to detect a leak source within five minutes of arriving. A previous company sent by our insurance company, American Leak Detectors, was unable to find the leak after performing a pressure test only. Kyle was very friendly and informative, explaining everything he was going to do step by step. Despite identifying the leak immediately, he was very thorough in ruling out any other possible sources of water. I would recommend them to anyone as the first company to contact. It's tough to put into words the relief I feel after Jay B.'s visit to my home. I have been extremely stressed about an unknown water leak. A home inspector noticed my water meter still running after everything was turned off in the home I'm selling during his inspection. My plumber contacted Sleuth. They came out and Jay B. was able to locate a very small pin hole leak in my master bedroom floor under the concrete slab under the carpeting. Amazing, problem solved and at minimal expense compared to the alternative. Thank you, thank you Jay!

Called Sleuth on a Monday requesting a service call. The woman apologized Saying they could not come out until Thursday, which was fine with me. On Wednesday afternoon Shawn called saying he was in the area and would I like him to come right over. He arrived shortly ready to investigate my leak. After checking the entire house he went back to the kitchen where he heard water under a tile. Asked him if he knew a plumber I should call. Said he would call Fox plumbing in Lakeland, which he did immediately. They will be out Friday. Excellent service!

On time, totally professional, and a real pleasure to deal with. Pete, my technician, arrived on time with all the tools and equipment necessary to diagnose my under slab leak, find it, and make it accessible for a plumber to do a permanent repair. Pete found the pinhole leak, broke up the concrete floor in precisely the right spot, performed a temporary repair so that I could turn my hot water back on and take a shower and return to life as normal. Great company, great technicians, great service! If I could give Sleuth '10 stars' I would. Thanks!

Matthew was our Field Technician and from the moment he arrived, early as I requested if possible, the process was flawless. Matthew was the most courteous, efficient and knowledgeable person to have at this stressful time for my wife and I. We truly felt that he really cared to resolve the leakage issue we were experiencing and at the same time settle our nerves and assure us it will all work out. $830 Water Bill! Sarasota Community Church's campus is very large and spread out and I thought it'd be the silly $3 toilet flappers (again) but it wasn't! (Tip: replace those things every other year). I checked everything and feared it'd be a leak under the church floor. By this point I was frustrated and panicking. Jay Blizzard came out and was very calm, reassuring and so very professional. He found the leak very quickly...even though it was starting to rain. It was a broken line under the portables... draining right into the retention pond. I had walked right over it. I highly recommend them!

Won't know for sure if he found the leak in the slab because we opted to go with a full replumb. This was the 2nd leak in the unit so felt that would be a more cost-effective way to go. The technician did not turn the main water back on and since this is a rental property, it was a good thing I checked that before I left. Unfortunately, I did not know he had turned the hot water lever off, so the tenant had no hot water until I could get out there 2 days later to turn it back on. The technicians should know to leave things as they found them. I didn't know all he did. It was his responsibility. So better check yours before they leave

Bobby came out today to detect a leak I think I have. He was incredibly polite and very well informed about what he was doing. He told me everything before he did it and what he found. He gave me options on what he thinks I will need to tell the plumber. I was so pleased at how he treated me, knowing that I wasn't knowledgeable on this subject. He even swept up where he had to take a piece of wall out and put away anything he moved. I am very pleased with Sleuth and will recommend them to my community as I am the HOA president . I wish more companies had a Bobby working with them. Kudos to Sleuth for having such a knowledgeable employee!

We have had an underslab leak for what appears to be over 10 months. It self clogged (fine particles in water) the first time and then the second time. The second time, however, Sleuth was called out. Bobby spent over an hour eliminating all other leak possibilities. He gave us his card with personal cell phone and stated to call him when it happens a third time so he can come right over. Well last Sunday the leak and water came back with a purpose. I texted Bobby and he scheduled us. He arrived and found the leak. Over a course of two hours, he confirmed and re-confirmed where it was. Important because the underground piping routes make questionable sense in this house. Charged a very reasonable price. Bobby was excellent, very detailed, and extremely personable. A fine rep for Sleuth we say! Our plumber is schedule to bypass the leak soon enough.

It is our pleasure to commit to the service received from Sleuth leak Detection and more importantly your technician Jason. He was on time, call before arriving, mask on, and professional, yet personable. My husband and I were most pleased with the service provided. Jason provided education and instruction along the way with how best to proceed. Found the source of our leak, and explained the next steps. We were very please with Jason and the care and reassurance he gave us. Our regular plumber was contacted arrangement made for an appointment. The entire process is completed now, we're relieved the damage was minimal, his experience was certainly key in cost containment. "OMG', he was inches away from the source. We will certainly mention your company to others. I have to mention this as well, I read the information provided and I have to say it was very clear and easy to understand.

Kyle called when on his way. Upon arrival he evaluated our home situation then got his equipment to work. We had a very complicated situation as water was in the garage. He traced the leak into the house with the water overflowing below the tile floor into the garage. He eventually found the leak in our kitchen island sink. He exposed the piping inside the island, marked it and notified our plumber Kiley and Son all the information. He was here 4 hours solving this problem. Was very polite and professional, not wasting any time with all his efforts. Very impressive. Thank you for being so thorough. We expected the invoice to be higher than the quote due to the complexity of our situation, however there was not an additional charge. This is the 3rd time we have used this company. The other 2 times were in our last home with leaks in the garage floor. Those times they were fast, efficient and professional as well.

We discovered water leaking onto our floor from below. We live in Florida and and, like many homes here, we have no basement. That meant that there was a leak inside the concrete slab on which our house is built. We called Sleuth, and they sent their rep, Tyler Moore, to find the leak. He arrived when expected. Tyler was well presented and courteous. He went right to work to find the exact location of the leak. It didn't take long and he then explained the problem and the plan to solve it. He cut away some baseboard and wallboard, and also drilled out enough concrete to enable a plumber to make repairs. Throughout the process, Tyler would occasionally stop and update us (in terms we could understand) on exactly what he was doing, why, and what to expect. When he finished, he left the worksite as clean as it could be made, and ready for our plumber to finish the repairs. Sleuth Leak Detection came through for us when we needed quick effective service. I am a Property Manager and was contacted by one of our tenants reporting water in the living room. We sent out the plumber and he could not determine where the water was coming from and recommended Sleuth. I was extremely relieved that they were able to go out almost immediately and were able to resolve the problem right away. I was even more relieved that they were willing to do the job without a huge hassle about how they were going to be paid! As a Property Manager, I have had companies refuse to do work for us because they had concerns about who was actually responsible for the bill and they might have to chase payment. It is almost always a problem when I start working with a new company. I was so pleased that Sleuth treated me like a valued customer instead of a potential thief! It was a great experience all around. They did a very good job, were respectful to our tenant and charged exactly what they quoted. Problem solved! I will be using them in the future.

I had Sleuth, Inc. come out to check for leaks on 8/2. They were supposed to inspect the roof for leaks, but the inspector, Ryan R., didn't do a good job. He just ran a hose over one spot on the roof for a few minutes and then said everything was fine. He didn't even check the walls properly. The county code enforcement closed the case because they didn't find any violations, but the property manager told the roofer not to put a tarp on the roof before the storm and not to make any repairs. Then, when the storm hit, my laundry room flooded, and the ceiling, walls, dining room, living room, kitchen, and Lanaii were all leaking. Everything was soaked, and the drywall was dripping. I even videotaped it all. The technician was incompetent, and now I have even more damage.

Sleuth Leak Detection charged me $150 more for digging up my yard. I only asked them to find the leak for $300, 'cause my plumber said so. Sleuth wouldn't do it without me paying first. I didn't want to, but they said it was only gonna be $300. I had my neighbor let the technician in 'cause I had to work. Then they sent me a bill for $150 more for digging. When I called, they said my neighbor said it was okay to dig and charge me. That's not right! You can't mess with someone's foundation and charge them without permission. Invoice #XXXXXXXXXX.

I hired Sleuth Leak Detection to check my house for water leaks cuz I redid my kitchen and added a master suite and wanted to make sure everything was done right. They sent a young guy on 5/20/22. He spent less than 10 mins in my house. Looked under my sink and said we had a blockage then called me for payment and left. He wasn't a plumber. They didn't do what I paid them for. I called for a refund and their office lady said they were keeping the payment. They didn't do what I paid for. I told my bank and they took back the payment. Now they're saying they'll put a lien on my house. I called them yesterday and today. They said they won't help me and want payment for nothing. My bank paid them on 7/17/22. Now they want more money! This is wrong! They're thieves and blackmailers!
