Shannon Medical Center review: ER Reception

My 85 ur old mother was taken in by ambulance that was called by her nurse. When I got there nearly 3 hrs later she was sitting in the ER waiting room lobby waiting on a room she said. She said that she had watched them call back numerous people who she had also seen leave. She said some people who had gotten there after her & there was just 1 other person there that had been there as long as her who came in right after her, an elderly man. She asked me to go see why. I went to desk & told receptionist what she had said & the receptionist was very rude to me about it. I told her my mom had been sick for awhile & I called an ambulance a couple night before this & they had refused to take her in saying she wasn't confused, which she was. The receptionist said that was not her problem & that she would be seen when they were ready. While this was going on I also saw them taking people back & forth. The receptionist told me to go sit back down like she was dismissing me. I tried to say something else but she told me "I said go set back down" so I did. My mom asked what she said & I told her nothing she was a b**** towards me. My mom is 85 & doesn't here so well so she asked me to repeat which I did & all of a sudden the receptionist was yelling at me to leave r she was calling security. I did nothing wrong except repeat to my mom what I had said, which was a private conversation that nobody else acted like they even heard. Next thing I know there is a Security Guard in front of me telling me he had to ask me to leave. I asked why & told him what happened & that my mom needed me with her. I am 65 yrs old weigh 68 lbs & have been real sick myself. He said he would go talk to her. Next thing I know there are 2 more huge security guards coming thru the door & all 3 of them ask me to go outside with them. How could I refuse 3 very large men so I went outside with them. They said she said I was unruly & starting trouble, which I was not I did say she was a b**** to my mother because che was to me and treated me disrespectfully & was rude & I told them that. One of them said he bet he knew what happened but he wasn't there so he could not say anything & that he was sorry but I had to leave the premises immediately because she wanted me gone, there was nothing they could do. He said they would take my # & somebody would get ahold of me about my mother. To wait right there & they would be back for the info. Only 1 came back & he had me right down my name & number & her name. I had to leave my mother sitting there without even telling her I had to go, by herself & scared to death she had been there around 4 hrs by this time. I left but never received a call from anybody about her condition as I was told I would & she was admitted to the hospital. & Is still there. I did nothing to warrant this kind of treatment. I was staying a fact to my mom in a private conversation she ease dropped on & heard something she did not like, the truth in my opinion & then took it to the extreme which was uncalled for. She should not be working around the public if she is going to treat people like that to begin with. I was embarrassed & humiliated to say the least plus disrespected & talked down to by her & I think she should not have a job where she has to work with the public with her attitude. This all happened yesterday 4-4-22 & my mom is still in hospital & I can not go see her because of a receptionist with an attitude that she is better than anybody & she is in charge & if you don't like it she can & will have you removed that she does not care. She is the one that needs removed from being around the public.
