12/20/2022, Tony R Alley was to perform a routine maintenance check of our heating & Air system. He arrived at 1pm, left at 4:30. He was supposed to vacuum out the main intake duct which took him a lenghty time as he kept talking about other things. He didn't clean the cover and left it covered in dust. He removed a bracket (without our approval) that was previously installed to keep the filter in place. The bracket was left lying on the floor. The vent cover was left hanging down in one corner as he didn't correctly close the cover. The one corner was not attached to the frame. He then checked the unit on the roof while having the unit run at 80 degrees for several hours. He said there was a contactor switch with burned wires that needed to be replaced. He said he had the part on his truck and subsequently took approximately 20 minutes to install the part. He did not say at any time that there was an additional charge for the part and installation. After installing the part, he tried to convince us that we needed an "air blower" installed to improve the amount of air going into all the rooms. He quoted a price of $2,000 for the air blower. This has never been a problem in the past and there were no changes to our system. There is one room that has a decreased air flow but that is due to a smaller duct and lack of attic crawl space to install larger ducts. We declined his offer. At 4:57 12/20/2022 he sent an email invoice for the service on 12/20/2022. The maintenance fee was listed as $129.00, plus he charged $495.00 for the "contactor switch.

The total bill was $624.00. The same contactor switch can be purchased on Amazon for $15.10. Mr. Alley refuses to give a refund for any portion of the billing. This is a gross overcharge. In 2014, Alley and his company had their license Revoked by the Contractors Licence Board FOR OVERCHARGING ON A CONTRACTED PROJECT.

Desired outcome: Refund of $430.00 as requested on 1/11/2023.
