My mother is 95 years old. I have recently had to start taking over paying her credit card bills. In July 2020 I noticed a strange looking "Value Plus" charge for $19.95. I looked at June and discovered the same charge. I kept going back through her statements and found that she has been paying $19.95 every month since Sept 2018.

I searched online and found numerous complaints about unauthorized charges from: WC *MON VALUEPLUS [protected] MN. It's supposedly some kind of membership discount program.

I went online and requested membership to be cancelled. It said the monthly charge would be reimbursed and if I thought I was due refunds for other months, to call.

I called and was told that my mother has been a member since 2017 and she willingly joined. They would send a form to request refunds for past months, but I was told "don't expect to receive anything". I asked them to send me the form because my mother isn't able to fill it out. After a month, I have not received any form. Called them today and was told they would send another one.

I see charges for Value Plus starting in Sept. 2018. There is no evidence that she purchased anything from this company - ever. The $19.95/ month adds up to $458.85 of invalid charges. My mother would have been 93 years old when this started and her mental acuity not what it once was. Based on other people's complaints, she fits the company's targeted audience.

I believe they owe her a full refund for the 23 months she was unwittingly paying. I don't know how they got her signed up for a membership or got her credit card number and she certainly doesn't know at this point. If she was 30 years younger when the membership was started, this company might have a better case, but it's a disgrace for them to be robbing from unsuspecting elderly people and not owning up to it when they get questioned or caught doing so.
