I booked 2 nights at the hard rock for Oct 26 and Oct 27 for my moms 78th birthday. I had an emergency so unfortunately was unable to make it to the hard rock on the 26th. I called I do not know who I spoke with and explained I was in a car accident and would not be able to make it tonight Oct 26. They said thats fine. today Oct 27th @ 12pm I drove down to The seminole hard rock hotel in Hollywood with my 6 year old son and my mother to check in. I was told by the supervisor Stefanie that my reservation was canceled and there is nothing she can do. I was upset. I just drove 45 min to the hotel with my mother who's birthday it is today October 27, 2021 and my 6 year old. I do not know why my room was canceled when my reservation was for 2 nights and 3 days and I called on October 26th and was told that is fine. I then went to the host and they emailed the reservation desk asking them to reinstate my reservation. He said it should take about 10 min but should be taken care of. I went back to the check in desk and Stefanie said "Can I help you? I told you I would call you and let you know if there is anything I can do." I let her know that I spoke to the host and he emailed you to ask if you could reinstate my reservation. She said "The host is going to have to wait and I told you already we are booked so if the host wants to have one of his players cancel their room then their will be one available.. otherwise I am not reinstating anything." How so incredibly rude. I spend a lot of money at your properties. It is incredible that no one can tell me why it was canceled after I called and was told thats fine, I show up with my child and my mother and nothing can be done. I was told to go enjoy the property. I asked what am I able to do with a 6 year old? Can I go to the pool? I was told NO I am not a guest at the hotel. that should have been the least I could have done since I drove 45 min with the understanding I have my reservation still. I cant go enjoy a property that is for adults mainly when I have a child and the 1 place he can go and have fun is the pool. I made a reservation for my mom to have a spa treatment and made reservations for dinner. I was at least able to cancel my dinner reservation. It is really sad when you have Hosts that are there to keep your guests happy and they tried to fix the issue but the hotel wouldnt fix the cancelation that was NOT canceled by me.
