Select Home Warranty, a company that guarantee replacement items in home do to break down or damage. Signed up with Select Home warranty11/25/2021. Payment or drafted monthly for policy. My policy # [protected]. First, they absolutely will not pay to replace any claim submitted, due to unforeseen fine print in contract. secondly, they will not cancel your policy under no circumstances until policy expiration. However, if you insist on cancelling your policy a cancellation fee is access. I have attempted to cancel the policy I have with this company for approximately six months. I have been given the run a round from every representative I have spoken with. My policy was due to expire on 11/25/2022 and I absolutely did not want an automated renewal. Absolutely, stated I did not want to continue doing business with this organization. On 11/28/2022, my bank account was charged the regular policy fee, even though I specifically cancelled the policy in August, again in September, and again in November. Spoke with a representative that said they would cancel the policy and return the payment in 7 - 10 business, however my account was charged again for $75.00 cancellation fee. I am working with my bank to file a claim to stop this company from continuously drafting money from my account. Select Home Warranty is predatory and will not cover any item regardless of age or damage and is impossible to cancel or get services.

“We had an AC problem, Their preferred contractor came to evaluate, two days after filing claim, on Tuesday. With it being 100 degrees outside, I told the contractor to come back the next day and fix my issue, so we would have AC on the 100 degree weekend(with elderly family coming for a visit.) I paid the contractor in full for his work, to have SHW deny my claim because it didn’t go through the 24-48 hour of approval process. After several lengthy calls and no return calls, I finally was able to get a manager return my call. Still denied. They have ZERO sympathy for their customers, as they go by rule in the contract about prior approval. I asked to speak to his boss to no avail, as they said they don’t have phone availability to the end user. I am going to cancel my plan, and report them to the BBB as well as give them negative reviews on every website I can. Very unprofessional and unjust. This has been the worst experience anybody should have to deal with. I wouldn’t even give them one star, as we put the full amount.”
