After a bad previous experience with a too cheap mattress, we knew we were going to spend what was needed to get a nice mattress. We went to Sleep country, as the biggest mattress seller in Canada, sat and lies on many beds and picked up the sealy cava plush as comfortable with support. We ended up between mattress king size, boxes, mattress protector, pillows, etc paying close to $3000 but thought it would last and be worth it. When the bed came, I found it very hard and after a few days, was getting real back pain and [censored]ly legs from lack of proper blood flow. But I tried and tried, they tell you you may need to adjust to the new mattress. Finally, close to the end of the comfort zone (60 days), having spent more time on the sofa than on the new mattress, hardly able to move, we asked Sleep Country to exchange it. So we went back to the store, and checked again all the available beds, before finding one which seemed fine... the same one we bought! it seems the bed we got, according to the seller, was defective, and we were with another model than what it should have been. But you cannot exchange a mattress for the same one, so we finally found another brand. When the delivery guys arrived a week later, they told us it happens all the time, with specifically the sealy cava. According to them, 30% of the customers returned that first time buyer bed, poor quality and totally inconstant softness or hardness. We were lucky to get the exchange ( the delivery team ripped the new bed ...) but I am mad at the implications of what they say. If the store where we bought it was aware of a problem with the bed, why did the seller claim it was the best available mattress, etc? better than tempur, he kept saying. Why repeat to us on the phone to wait a bit, we will get used to it? we did not have a lot of choice for the exchange, i t had to be picked up right away from what they had in store. And I swore I would never buy a sealy again!
