Longtime Napa Valley resident and sexual predator Scott A. Bergevin (age 50) has recently moved to American Canyon. Can anyone confirm if he is on a local registered sex offender list? Bergevin is known for masturbating
in front of an underage boy to exposing his genitals to woman in a public hotel, among other incidents. Local authorities need a better way to warn the public when a pedophile moves into their neighborhood. Bergevin has most recently been linked to searching dating websites for victims for his perverted activities. Let's please report any activity by Bergevin in our area and get local authorities to warn the community of his actions so nothing happens again!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
UPDATE: Most likely Scott didn't report his sex offender status in Arizona, after moving from California. In Arizona, you do not have to directly notify your neighbors and employers. However, you must register annually with Arizona's sex offender public registry, which you're on the honor system kind to do so. It would have cost Scott $250 to register, most plea they can't afford it, when moving to a new state such as Arizona. "Scott Andrew Bergevin" was initially in the California database but since he didn't update his files since 2020, his information will not be public, due to California state law, some registered sex offenders are not subject to public disclosure.
This issue appears to be resolved since Bergevin was forced to move out of Napa County and relocate to Arizona. Hopefully he will not destroy the lives of any families out there.
