I have received several of the same calls in the last few days from a man claiming to be Sam Watson, [protected], stating he needed to speak with myself or my attorney of record, could possibly be saying my attorney off record. He has a very distinctive foreign accent and the line kept cutting in and out. What sticks out is that if I do not call and talk to him "what unfolds will be on your own head". I contacted my local police dept and reported it to the local division that hands scams and frauds and gave them copies of the three voice mails left. If you get one of these you will hear the same script used each time. As is with most common sense scenarios if you get a number you don't recognize let it go to voice mail. If they need to talk to you they will leave a voice mail, if they don't its obviously not that important.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

This Sam Watson keeps calling our firm asking for a person who works here, they don't even know who they are or that the name they are asking for is a male name and not female. I asked him his name and Firm name, he said McKinney's Law Firm. This firm is in Iowa and the number is not [protected]. He repeatedly asked for my name but i would not give it to him. He said there is a lawsuit pending against this person and he needed to call right away. I told him that i would forward the message and offer NO other information about our firm, or the person. I told him i would not forward the call to a supervisor or give out any other information. I told him he sounded like a bill collector and that his call was illegal. He is to contact (the person he was asking for) at home and hung up. It's a scam, trying to get information.
