Safeguard America Alarm system

When we moved into our new home in 2020 safeguard removed their alarm system from our old home and were supposed to install it into our new home - well they never installed the system in our new home . I called them several times to install the alarm system but no answer - i still have the equipment from the old house and they keep billing me for the past 3 years for the system never installed. I have given up hope getting them to come get their equipment and to quit billing us for service not rendered !

I was contacted by a service rep in June 2019. He told me he was associated with ADT. A few months later September 2019 I found out safeguard was not part of ADT. I have called many times everyone is very rude they tell me I signed a contract and you need to pay. The only reason I went with them because I thought it was ADT. The company is a fraud. I think it was fraud in the inducement.

Safeguard America customer service/termination of contract

My contract with the company was up 5/18/2018, and as instructed I emailed the company my intent to terminate 60 days prior to end of contract. As of June, I am still getting invoices for payment! When you call their customer service number, you get someone whom is brain dead --- stating that "we will take care of that for you!" which they don't. I received a collection letter from their collection department 2 weeks ago and did my monthly phone call and got transferred to the collection department. I spoke with a Ms. Garcia, whom was rude and sarcastic with me and said that she "sent an email over to terminate my subscription." I asked why it was at this point taking 6 months to do a termination and she got testy with me and said it would be taken care of and to disregard any future letters and invoices...which of course I won't because I want this taken care of now! I have better things to be doing than spending an hour and half of my time each month to listen to them say "it will be taken care of"! Over the weekend, I received another invoice for payment which I will now have to call them again and speak to some Zombie in customer service.

Safeguard America home security system

On the 24th of November I signed up for a security system for my home located at 30655 Hydrangea Ct in Brooksville Florida for a 36 month contract. At the time I purchased the equipment outright, so I owed the equipment, and had a statement from the installer that I would only be obligated to keep the contract to monitor the system for 36 months. I was contacted right before the contract ran out by a sales person from Safeguard America wanting me to renew the contract and I told them no that I was going with ADT security . I then signed a contract with ADT and have had them ever since . I am still receiving bills for monitoring from Safeguard America even though I took out all the equipment that I purchased from them . I have called them and sent them e-mails, but they keep sending me bills for monitoring, what are they monitoring. I don't have anything for them to monitor.

Safeguard America harassing phone calls

For several days, at least 3 times a day I have been getting calls from their Connecticut phone number [protected]. They never leave a message. I am on the do not call list, and surely they must have a copy of that list. Finally after the second call today, my curiosity got the better of me. When I answered, a man asked "Is this Eileen?" I said yes, and immediately asked what he was selling. "Oh, no. I am not selling anything. Do you know a Kathy Sullivan?" I told him no. He asked me if I was sure, and I told him again no, I was certain I did not know her. He thanked me and hung up. Now I felt like I was being skip-traced for unknown reasons. Several hours later I decided to call back to find out the name of the business. The voicemail answer says "This is Colleen with Safeguard America" and then asks that you leave a message. People, if you ever get calls from that number do not answer! This is total harassment. I don't care what they do or how good or bad they are. I would tell anyone looking into doing business with them that it would be a big mistake!

Safeguard America security system

On November 7th, 2016, two men pulled alongside the curb, parked their unmarked car, got out and walked up to me as I was bringing my trashcans from the curb. I should have known right then and there to walk inside quickly and lock the door. They immediately started their spiel about their wonderful deal they had to offer me. They fast-talked me into allowing them to come into my home and sign up for this security system named Safeguard America that they were offering that would have a much cheaper monthly payment. To me, the company name sounded like the one advertised on the radio - Safe House – or something like that, and I mistakenly assumed that that was the security system they were selling.

I should have run into the house, slamming the door in their faces! I don’t know what was wrong with me that day. I usually am leery of people like that and usually would have said, “No, thanks!”

Anyway, stupid me saw the benefit of saving a little money and believed these 2 men had the answer. One of the men may have been named Trey with a cellphone number of [protected]. Honestly this good ‘ole boy talked so sweet and fast that my head wasn’t working correctly. I believe it was Trey that called my then present home alarm system Vivant, told Vivant that he was my son and was moving me, his mother, into his home in Georgia and that my house would then be empty and he wanted to cancel my contract with Vivant. I was stupid and allowed these 2 men to completely bamboozle me into cancelling Vivant and switching over to Safeguard. I thought I would be saving money. I thought that I’d be paying less than my then present payment of $42 with Vivant to a lesser payment with Safeguard. I was wrong. I now pay $53.49 a month which is automatically deducted from my checking account.

This type of salesmanship is completely wrong. I looked up the company online (after I'd signed the contract, unfortunately) and there are so many bad reviews that I am totally disgusted with myself for being naïve and vulnerable to these 2 men that sat in my house and convinced me that Safeguard would be so much cheaper. Do I feel safe? No. I feel a lot less safe. I feel that Safeguard America has too many bad reviews in Connecticut as well as Florida and other states. Everyone wants out of their contract. BUT! Even if they no longer can afford the monthly payment! - Even if they move, selling their home! – Even if a loved one dies or the family is transferred out of state, Safeguard won’t let them out of their contract.

I want out of my contract. 5 years is too long to have my checking account garnered.

Safeguard America lie from the very beginning... rates

I am already over an year with this company and I wanted cancel my contract from the very beginning first at all, when I talk on the phone, which they should record, they lied that all my doors, windows, and even garage will be hooked up to the system. they came, hooked three doors and it was done. when I called the company that I did not have complete service they promised, I was told that windows should be added for extra, and it will coast me over $800. But when after that talk I wanted cancel my contract I was told I have to pay over $2000 as earlier cancellation. Now I pay over $170 every three months for this bull... contract, I do not feel my house and I am safe at all... Now they offer $9 as monthly payment of protection... Just great deal done... They will take advantage and they will lie... Then they will tell they lost your recorded first talk just because everything they promised will never done correct how you have been told...

I started my service with these crooks 11/2015 tried contacting them 12/2015 and 1/2016 to get an appt scheduled so we can move the service to our new house.Well nobody could locate our account after me calling and calling so now they finally located my account in 2/2016 and since i moved from the old home into our new home they are charging us $1200 to buy...

Safeguard America smart home super pkg

On 12/07/2015 I had my last contact with these people. They took advantage of my 90 year old Mother while she was alone and almost helpless. They bulldozed her into buying this system which she can't even operate. They were very adept at setting up a checking acct. auto-pay debit monthly for $54.99. They have already taken one pmt. for $58 and change not $54.99. The Salesman named Richard also broke my mother's cellphone while in her home. He admitted doing this and said he would replace the cellphone. To date he has not done so.

I was connected by Safeguard America at the end of April, at the time I did not know who they were because the call stated that they were updating my system because the models were changed. I already had a system with Monitronics Security which is great company, and the call I received the representative spoke as if they were a representing Monitronic...

I signed a FIVE year contract with Safeguard. I then sold my home and wanted to cancel the service so I called and the lady said you signed a SIX year contract! Safeguard America wont stop calling...

This company refuses to stop calling me, I have asked them to stop calling at least a dozen times. They have been rude to the point of argueing with me. When i ask to speak to a superviser, each time they tell me that none are avalaible. What kind of company is this? They are asking me questions about my home security and act like this?

They won't stop calling me either. They are very rude when I ask them not to call me anymore and won't let me speak to a supervisor. I just now received another call, sounds like same rep every time. This time I am reporting them to my state's attorney general's office, the BBB and every other agency I can find.

Safeguard America spam telemarketing calls

Came to visit my 80 y.o. mother and found 5 to 6 calls a day in her call log from this company. She says they simply won't stop calling her so she no longer answers her phone. Totally unacceptable! I answered one of the calls myself and got as far as please remove and he hung up. I see numerous complaints online which have to be the tip of the iceberg as you have to be pretty annoyed to take the time to stop and write something up. Can't the attorney general of Florida investigate these people?

Safeguard America great service

Honestly I cant complain about this company, so far so good. The only thing that pissed me off was when they didn't tell me what my time slots for my installation was and I missed the install. But rescheduled and got it done the next day. Its been 7 months now with them, after the sales rep gave me 3 months free for signing up. That was a sweet deal. I have been nothing but pleased. I never got assistance like this with my system . ADT were ###s to me when I asked about how to bypass a slider by my kitchen. I didn't appreciate that from them, but I was stuck under their contract. Plus now my rate is way lower and its not going up like ADT anymore. I'm pleased.

Safeguard America having 2 accounts with same company and being charge twice

i had sign a contract with safe home security inc in may of 2008 and they were taking out money every month till the contract was finish and it became a month to month payment. which they took there last month payment. i met a sale rep from safe guard america name Stan Johnson who sold me this alarm service from safe guard america. i told him what alarm company i had before and he said yea i heard of them before. i said that i wanted to go with a different company and he not a problem. here after the contract was signed a few days later i found out that it was the same company and they are taking money out of my bank account with two different accounts numbers for the same service. i had fax over a cancel letter on June 9, 2012 and there was a gentleman that called me and said that he has received the fax. . on July 17, 2012 i spoke to Britney Elrod, she is the senior account executive and her extension is 1121. attach is a fax sheet proof that i send it to you along with a cancellation letter. i would like to get this matter resolved as quickly as possible.

Safeguard America sales staff questions

I called the 800 number for Safeguard America which turned out to be Safe Home Security. The first call I made we arranged for a representative to come round and give me a quote for activating my alarm system at my house, no-one came, n0-one called me. I should have given up then but as the number was given to me by a friend I gave them another try.
The second call was no better than the first, no apologie for the no-show had to give them all my details again, then came the twist in the tale, the person who I was speaking to me asked me for my social security number! I gave the last four digits but he said they needed to have the whole number so that they could run a credit check!
I said I did not know who he was, I had called one company to be answered by another, I had not recieved a quote from them so had not agreed to even consider their service, at which piont he put the phone down on me.
Be very careful when dealing with this company or any company who asks for highly sensative personal information during a sales call.

Safeguard America constant phone calls

EVERYONE file a complaint with the FCC!
This company keeps calling and calling me. I have asked many, many, MANY times to be removed from their calling list but they keep calling. I am filed with the National Do Not Call Registry and have told them this and "William" told me on 7/12/2011 "no, no, no" when I said "yes, yes, yes" he put someone else on the line, who I told the same thing to who in turn put someone else on the line, who I told the same thing to who hung up on me! I received another call from them today 7/29/2011 @ 1:45pm. I have filed a complain with the FCC which I advise EVERYONE to do. I went to the BBB and the phone # they provide for this company has been disconnected. I have even sent an email to company asking for them to please STOP calling me... and my phone keeps ringing...

I have to disagree with you, have been with this company for years, never had an issue. Fast response when alarm was set off and customer service has been great.

I was swore at by the rep calling me - I simply asked what their company did - and she would not answer but continued on whit her spiel - I asked again what it was that her company did - and was then asked 'Who the HELL I thought I was"?!? (twice) then she hung up. I called the number back and it had an option to remove my phone number from their calling list - I did that but we'll see if they actually do it.

They call our home often, and we have asked them not to call. If ask them any questions about who they are, and why they are calling, the customer service representative becomes very rude!
Get rid of this company!

if you have caller ID and you recognize the number, either ignore it or pick up and hang up without actually answering. that's what i do with numbers that annoy me. Eventually they get the message.

Safeguard America harrassing phone calls

These people call me incessantly, even after I have asked them to remove my number from their system. I have even called their number back to try to get to a supervisor. The phone is on an automated system that gives you the option of inputting your telephone number so that your number is removed "within 72 hours", which I have done to no effect. They state that they are only calling for survey purposes and that it is not a sales call. I am sick of hearing from these people.

Someone with an Indian accent calls us nearly every week from Safeguard America. We have told him numerous times to take our phone number off his list, but he just hangs up on us and calls again the next week.
