So, I had this lady from SCAN come to my dad's house in ***. She made him buy some insurance thing that he didn't really get, and she did the same thing to my stepmom too. I don't like how this SCAN lady took advantage of my dad, who doesn't speak much English and has dementia. It's not cool that she's doing this to other old people in the *** community in *** and the ***. I heard she did the same thing to another old couple who speak ***. She's just preying on them. And I heard that SCAN isn't even accredited, so what's up with that?

I had an experience with Scan on 04/29/2022 (but it's happened before with other patients). They offer rides for old folks to their appointments and procedures. They always say they'll come at a certain time, but then they change it or they say they're here to pick up the patient but leave within a minute without even giving us a chance to bring the patient outside. This is just plain neglect of old patients and it's not okay. This keeps happening every time a patient tries to use their ride service. If they're gonna have this service, they need to be trained right and do what they say they'll do. Or they should just not offer it if they can't do their job. I won't ever tell any of my patients in San Diego, CA to use Scan and I'll tell every doctor I know not to recommend them either.

I got Scan health in JANUARY and still have it. I've had stage 4 cancer for 2 and a half years now. My out of pocket for 2021 is $799, and last year it was $899. I get cancer infusions every 3 weeks, and I'm supposed to pay 20% each time. They don't bill me every month, though. Last year, they waited and asked for the full amount in August, calling it one visit. They're doing the same thing this year. In January, they sent me a statement saying they were going to bill me for my immunotherapy ***. That medicine is physically provided to me by ***. No charge to anyone! Since then, no ***'s! None! I've had at least 10 infusions with my share being 20%. No ***'s! None! I've called them so many times, but they're not helpful at all. Last year, they helped me. I tried to contact the same Scan person, but she doesn't return my calls. My ssa check is $617.00 a month after they take out Medicare premiums. I'm supposed to be billed and pay as I get these treatments as I get them! They're lazy and incompetent!

I'm really upset with SCAN. They haven't been responding to my letters and they denied me services that I was getting before. They said they don't service SCRIPPs, but that's not true. I followed their rules and saw a primary doctor in Temecula, but they still denied me services. The primary doctor sent me to Loma Linda hospital for a mammogram, but they didn't request my prior records and made me take more unnecessary tests. I asked for a second opinion, but they said no. So, I had to pay a lot of money to go to Scripps Green Hospital where all my records are. I want SCAN to reimburse me for that and reinstate my urinary inconsistence services that they stopped in the middle. I made an appeal, but they haven't done anything since January .
