Rubber Sphynx review: Sphynx kitten from breeder

I see plenty of happy customers, this is just my experience with Rubber Sphynx.

The communication was unpredictable from the start. I was told that I would receive photos every X amount of days after deposit, but I never did.

It wasn’t disclosed to me that the kitten was a “runt” until after her spay was delayed a month due to her weight, and I inquired why she was so underweight. I’m really not sure if disclosing this is a requirement, but it seems like a good thing to know when your spending thousands & committing to the longterm care of an animal.

Despite everything, I fell in love with the kitten & went through with the purchase. She arrived at pickup in a sweatshirt & when I took it off she was covered in bumps/scabs. I took her to the vet 4 days later where I was given a medicated lotion and where she was also treated for the ear infection that she arrived with.

Fast forward to now, 2 years later, my kitten has a significant heart murmur & other health issues (chronic ear infections, etc.) I’m still doing all I can to figure out what her underlying issue is, with the possibility of it being autoimmune.

I reached out to Rubber Sphynx for help/advice but I haven’t heard back so far. This is not my first Sphynx, so I am especially disappointed in the entire experience. Photos are from the evening after pickup.
