Royal India's owners have a long history of wage theft. They have five past citations from the department of labor for violating the minimum wage laws. They have a long history of not paying people they employed, including their nanny and a group of models they hired for a photo shoot. All of this is documented in court records.
Workers say the owners keep all their tips, their paychecks frequently bounce and/or are short, they claim they're withholding taxes but don't send out W-2s, and that their hygiene practices are shocking in the restaurant.
They've been doing this in both their Kirkland WA and Lynnwood WA locations, which are owned by the same family.
Desired outcome: Pay your workers in full every time, like the law says. If you can't afford to pay your workers, close down your business.
