Where do I begin. Let's start with job itself. Company insisted putting roof on right before hurricane Ian hit. Finished two days before. Lost hip and cap shingles because they never had time to adhere to roof. They weren't even the right cap shingles. They told me their 10-year workmanship guarantee didn't cover hurricane, but it should have taken care of shabby work and leaks. The old roof didn't leak, had it done to appease Insurance Company rules on Roof age. Didn't want to lose my house insurance. Major leak which resulted in my sunroom being flooded and caused $6000.00 damage to personal property. Should have installed roof flashing where the two roofs met. Also leaks at roof vents which caused sheetrock damage. Insurance adjuster pointed out this shabby work, also including tar footprints all over roof, boot marks in shingles.
Went into my attic, and saw 2x4's holding sheathing together, which I am sure is not up to FL. building code. tried to get contractor to stand up to work, he refused. Never passed inspection as he never filed for one so I can't get
certificate of completion for insurance company or for future sale of house.
Now they are threatening to put lien on my house and not to pay supply company, so they also put lien on my house but yet job was never completed as didn't get COC.
My wife has been diagnosed with a very severe illness and we don't need this extra stress.
The leaks also created a serious mold problem,
Desired outcome: Want Certificate of Completion, which means roof was completed, if don't get that, refund for money paid, no further contact with Castle Rock Roofing, and no way he's getting on my roof again with such shabby work.
