A main Skoda garage found PDI suspension blocks still in the car, limiting the main suspension And making the car unsafe to drive. Other PDI elements had also been missed e.g sat nav installation and wheel nut caps etc leading us to believe a PDI has not been done well or at all. The ride has been extremely uncomfortable but we put this down to low profile wheels and sport suspension. 4 front tyres have been punctured whilst going over bumps and drains in the road and we had to constantly swerve going over any imperfection in the road. We were just about to move the car on when the blocks were found and removed and what a difference this has made to the drive. Skoda customer services do not think it makes any difference having the blocks in and even deny that they were left in in the first place. I have asked for the PDI cert for 3 months and have not provided it to date and an Executive manager suggested that it was not worth the paper it was written on as, the main dealer where I purchased the car from (Underwoods Skoda), could write one retrospectively! Skoda will not admit they have left the blocks in even though their garage found them and removed them. Damage has been caused not only to the tyres but to the dust boots too. I do not know what damage has been caused or will come to light in the future although. Today they have said they are closing the complaint.
Last Saturday, 21st of March, I have delivered my car to one of the service centers of SKODA dealer in Egypt, ARTOC Auto, at 11:40 am for a spare part change( after waiting 3 whole weeks as the spare part was not available).I left the car in the center and at 4 pm I received a phone call from an engineer in the center informing me that a maintenance engineer crashed my car upon trying it out side the maintenance center (which is so strange why they drive the car outside the center !!! )Upon going to the center to investigate I found the whole front of the car in severe damage( as per photos attached).
This accident is not by all means accepted and it reveals total negligence, irresponsibilty and total unprofessional service. The accident affected me financially as I had to look for other transportation alternatives ( the center did not offer to provide an alternative car till matter is resolved ). Also am morally affected as the service center manager did not care to contact me till date as if nothing happened and as if they didn't damage a car whose sale price will now decrease dramatically due to their irresponsibility and unprofessionalism.
Infact, irresponsibility and negligence is all what I met since I started dealing with them. Spare parts are always unavailable to the extent that once I had to wait for more than 3 months to change some spare parts as service center claimed that they don't have some of the spare parts available in Egypt and they have to import it case by case !!! This resulted in waste in time and money for me as a customer, but obviously they don't care about this waste !
Generally speaking, ARTOC Auto and their service centers have bad reputation in Egypt for their unprofessional and poor service. Unfortunately, my bad experience with them, in addition to the terrible damage they did to my car will make me never think of purchasing a Skoda car again, or even recommend it .
I have full confidence that Skoda will deal with this complain with full concern and responsibility in a way that matches it's esteemed name and reputation, and that saves it's customers' loyality.

I purchased a Skoda Fabia in the month of Feb 20o8. My car is driven 3500 kms. Last week, while returning home from Pune to Mumbai on the expressway, my front side tyre burst. I replaced the same with the spare and when I went to repair the tyre thinking it was a punchture, I was informed that my tyre had bursted. The tyre dealer checked my other tyres and informed me that all my tyres were of substandard quality and had bubbles on them, so it is unsafe to drive the car on any highway or expressway.
I immedaitely went to the car dealer (Autograph India, Mumbai) and informed them of the same. They inspected all the tyres and also agreed that all the tyres had bubbles and need to be replaced. I was then asked by them to get intouch with Skoda India in Ahmedabad, who would help me.
I approached Skoda India and informed them of the same. They took my complaint on the phone and informed me that they will get back to me.
I have just one car and purchased it this car after saving alot in the past few years. Am extremely concerned as I am not seeing a positive indication from Skoda India and I feel that I have become a pray of substandard quality and fooled into purchasing an expensive car.
Hope someone from your end can help me resolve this.
I have been to Mahavir Auto [skoda dealer] at Hyderabad, along with a friend of mine who was willing to BUY a new fabia. At the first sight, the car looked just about OK ! from outside. But built quality and the INTERIOR'S were Pretty Up class !!. Soo far so good.
As i heard of some DISAPPOINTMENTS Under the Hood, in our forum. I thought of checking out personally with a TD. I asked the sales guy for a TD. To my SURPRISE he said that, They don't provide any TD service . I tried to find out the reason, he simply Replied back like this, "Sir, this is a product from SKODA. you don't need a TD to know it's performance ! !"
I questioned him, when The HONDA'S, TOYOTA's, BMW's give TD. why can't you provide ? ? Then, he pretended as if he got a call and just vanished from the scene..!!
Mahavir Auto being the sole dealer for entire Andhra Pradesh, this is NO WAY OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Guys, is it the same scenario with all Skoda dealers through out the country ?? or this is one of a kind incident ?
