On 8/10/09 I purchased PWW Online for $1.97 and I have recently looked at my bank statement and have found that I have been recieving miscellaneous charges from them over the past few months. All together they have stolen over $200 from me and it's not right. Here is proof of purchase and then evidence of the amount stolen from me: 08/11/2009 Purchase ...

Pww Online Failure to Refund

This is a company that provides online services for people that want to work from home, and they deliberately hide the terms that state that you will be charged $79.90 if you do not cancel your membership within the trial period. This is a very arrogant company and they flat reuse to give refunds. I am asking everyone that has been victimized by this company to file individual complaints with the United States Federal Trade Commission online here: http://ftc.gov/, and click on the brown box that says, "Consumer Complaint? Report it to the FTC". For every single complaint they receive, they will begin to see a pattern and act on it and stop this company. For those of you in the United States, also file complaints with your State's Attorney General's Office. Everyone, no matter where you are, should call Google, not email them, but CALL THEM and tell them that this company is associating itself with the Google corporation, and it is bringing discredit to their company. Once Google starts to get a gazillion calls from people all over the world, their team of attorneys will also get involved to stop this company. You can call Google in Mountain View, Ca. at [protected]. We need to flood the FTC and Google and the State's Attorney General's offices of our respective states to start this action. DO IT NOW!

Pww Online Charged without permission

Hi there - has anyone had any luck getting their money back?! I just saw a transaction on my account for £50.02, which was $79.90 and it says for PWW Online. I don't know what this is but everyone on here has mentioned Google. I bought some products on ebay recently. One was "Making sense of Google adsense" and another was some ready made content websites. Could it be from this? I don't think I gave anyone else my money...If anyone can help I'd be really grateful! Thanks, Hayley

Thank you guys to much!

I've managed to get my bank to cancel the overdraft fees.

Then I just spent 35 mins on the phone to "Chelsea" at PWW. After going on and on at her, she agreed to refund half of the money, ie $40. But I'm still going to go further as I'm so angry with them. I felt sick and had a headache after. Also all the phone call charges to my bank and the States I want back.

You know, they wouldnt even give me the surname of the Director or CEO, because, and I quote "I might want to track him down and hurt him"! I never once threatened them with anything other than a lawsuit!

If anyone wants to work together against this company, pls email me at hayley_white@hotmail.co.uk

I'm going to check out the treasurechest website now!
Thx, H

This exact same thing happened to me. I was told I would only pay the postage. I didn't even receive the product... not that I want it any more.

I've just looked at my account online, I've been charged £50.00, including fees! Charges I DID NOT authorise. I rang my bank and was told to contact the company, and ask for a refund. If this didn't happen, my bank will open a dispute with the company and get the money refunded.

I cancelled my card, but have read that this makes no difference - I will still be liable for charges, and WILL be charged!

I tried to call the company, but was on hold for ages.

I have just emailed them with details of the charges, asking for all charges to be refunded as they were unauthorised, and for any memberships, subscriptions or products i have signed up for - when I didn't anyway, but I want to be sure.

I'm waiting for a reply. If I don't get one, I'll open a dispute through my bank and cancel my entire account, then open a new one so they can't trace it.

This is ridiculous, the amount of stress this has put me though has made me sick, and I'm a student, I need that £50, and can't afford to lose it or be charged any more.

I just feel like an absolute idiot for being drawn in for something I never normally would be.

I just had that happen to me as well and when they tryed to say they where only going to refund half I told them I wanted to talk to some else who could do something about it. She kept teling me that there was nothing anybody elose could do. But I told her that I didn"t want to hear that from her I wanted to talk to her supervisor. She left for a few minutes and when she came back she said her boss was unable to come to the phone but that they are going to refund the full amount. Just don't take no for an answer and you will get your money back.

Like all you others I this week have had £50.17 + the £1.25 overseas fee taken out of my account without authorisation. This is after clicking on a link through Google & the Adsense demonstration, I did input my card details to pay the £1.25 but as I say they have taken more money this week. I have gone onto the webpage I think I registered with & low & behold the contact details throw up an error page. My banks suggestion is that they cancel my card & reisuse another, which is obvously inconvenience but I`ve still lost the money. Does anyone have any idea how we can get our money back as this is absolutely disguisting.

I am too in the same boat! My friend went on to purchase me a FREE kit, again, only charging the £1.20 for the kit, which resulted in £49.66 being taken from my account a week or so WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! This then caused me to go overdrawn, as it would when your not expecting it to leave your account, causing me charges galore! I had tried to ring and sent an email too to say i didn`t want this product or any thing to do with it and low and behold, the phone number didn`t work and no replies to my emails! This is discusting and i hope the people who are doing this get what they deserve!
Please, if any one has any info that can help us, get in touch! dj.her@hotmail.co.uk

This has nothing to do with Google actually, it's a scam. And if you bought the products on ebay, then yes you did give them your information.

These might only cost a few dollars to get, but it's listed as a "trial" for free, you pay shipping. Then, if you don't cancel in 7 days they start charging you the monthly fee. The 7 day free trial starts the minute you "order" the thing. Which means you usually don't even receive the product until long past the 7 days are up.

Google AdSense services are free.

Have a look at this site: http://scam-googletreasurechest.blogspot.com/2009/07/ftc-vs-google-treasure-chest.html

The person who wrote that site has been through the same sort of thing, and there's lots of information on what you can do about it.

I don't know about the laws over there, but if you put these charges on your credit card, you should contact your credit card company. They should have more information on this merchant. They have to in order to allow this business to accept their cards. Make sure you save every single document for your records. You should act fast on this because some credit card companies only allow 90 days to dispute a charge.

Pww Online unaproved fees

i signed up to receive a demo from PWW online. i agreed to pay 1.50 for the demo and i was going to watch it and think about weather i want to invest in the company. i never received the demo and forgot all about it until i started receiving charges for almost 80.00 on my bank summery. this site is a rip off. do not agree to any companies promising you great wealth via google. also some other google affiliated site got my info and charges me for a demo which i did receive but didnt even watch. then i was charged for a membership fee from a company i never even heard of and cant get a refund from. DO NOT TRUST these people. my acount has been drained! im poor and on unemployment i cant afford this. i cant eat for the next week because of this. im probably going to comit suicide. ftw

After reading the rest of these complaints, I am glad that it is not only me.

When i went on this site it was suposed to be a one off payment of approx £1.70, in return provide information on how to set up a small business from home. I have now been charge £49.00 and £44.00 this month.

I have filed a fraud complaint with my bank in hopes to get some of this wasted money back.

Can not Believe how much money these people are making, off other people by not doing anything.

I feel totally VIALATED, something needs to be done to stop these people.

Whats even worse, I got information about this site off twitter.

I read an article on Good Morning America how a person could make money online at home with ones computer. For a small fee on $1.97 a kit/DVD would be sent to me how I could work at home with google profits. I OK'ed the $1.97 purchase price. Two days later my credit card was charged $79.90 for what I do not know. There was never any mention in article or purchase form except the $1.97. I cannot believe I fell for something this stupid. I have not received any info/DVD either.

£49.85 out of my account without my authorisation I am not sure what this is all about, I clicked on a site that said I could earn money via google but it did not say that it would take money out of my account as & when they feel like it. I thought they would only take out £1.23 for an info pack, which I have never received. I am still waiting for this pack to come. These people should not be able to get away with this scam! I applied for a business kit from google - the website said I only had to pay $1.97 which was £1.20. There was 100% no mention that they'd be removing further funds under a recurring visa which is what has come up on my account. Please can anyone advise or help me get a refund? I have no way to contact them, I'm going to contact my bank and get them to stop this recurring visa but can anyone help in the mean time? My email is r.s.taylor@hotmail.co.uk. i signed up for the one off price of £1.22 to be sent a google kit throught he post. still waiting for this. As soon as i sent my card details for this, it came up with another screen sayin miniaml amounts would be deducted from my account each month for using this kit. It also said i had a 7 day cooling off period. I e-maled srtaight back after readding this, to say to cancel my details, i also tried to ring all the numbers listed on the page, all these numbers are abroad but all unrecognised too. i have revieced a bank statement to, and £49.74 has come out, this is after the attemped phone cals, and emails. The site now says not too e-mai them as no on checks the page or will respond, so how are u ment to cancel this?
i have ended up goin into the back and having to cancel my whole account and set up anew one which is not at all ideal.
I would like this money back as the intial page stated a one off payment of £1.22, which is a lie, and also with no way to contact them, even when asked straught away to cancel my payment and money is taken, this is fraud.

I have just received my bank staement and to my horror there is a re-occuring debit card payment set up by this company. When I clicked on this site it was supoposed to be a one off payment of around £1.50 to tell me houw to set up a small internet business from home to earn extra cash... what it failed to say is MAKING THEM EXTRA CASH! Having searched this company on goole it led me to this complaints site and it would appear there are hundreds of other people who have fallen foul to this scam. I am now desperatly trying to cancel any further payments to these people who have preyed on those trying to make ends meet by earning extra cash to pay their bills.
If anyone knows how to contact this company I would be glad to hear from them to enable me to at least try to get my money back.

I also saw this on Good Morning America (who should be ashamed of themselves for making such a scam look good). I payed the $1.97 with the agreement that if I cancelled within 7 days I would not be charged any further fees. I cancelled 5 days into the 7 days and was told specifically that I would not be charged further, but I was. So, now I will calling them tomorrow and demanding my money back. I am also going to contact Good Morning America and give them a piece of my mind. It is bad enough that there are these scams out there without having them displayed on a show that I used to think was pretty reputable.

Probably because you ordered a trial of their "scam product" and gave them your credit card info without reading the fine print. You have 5 days to cancel the trial and if you don't cancel in 5 days, you start paying the monthly fee. The unfortunate part is that you might not even get the product within the 5 days.

You need to go back where you got it and cancel that. Then either cancel your credit card, or dispute charges. If you used your bank card, then do the same with your bank.
