Very sick puppy
Justice for Shelby For our family, what started off to be a lifetime of fun with our new puppy has turned out to be some of the scariest days we have shared yet. March 4th was not just a ordinary day for our family. Today was the day we were to gain a wonderful new addition to our family. For a few weeks we had explored other areas to rescue our new furry...

I was sold a puppy that was supposedly "altered" according to the sign on her crate. She went into heat a year later. They claim they will not be responsible for having her spayed. Even though a previous manager admitted that an employee mistakenly posted that info and agreed to pay my vet directly for the spay. I have the original sign from the sale. PETS PLUS has POOR customer service and truly does not care about the animals. They only care about the immediate "sale".

SQUARES if the manager admitted to the mistake about the post and agreed to pay the vet directly for the spay what more do you want? (Although you never did state if they actually paid for your dog to be spayed) But yes I understand no one likes an inconvenience but we are all human at the end of the day people do make mistakes whether it is a teenager or experienced manger working there, there is room for error. I would be happy you saved your paperwork to actually have that proof to clear up this issue. If they only cared about the immediate sale they would have not offered to pay for the procedure. Obviously the manager was doing his job and was correcting the error that was made, I am still confused of why you are so livid. Action was taken place on your behalf and that is was customer service is.
I could sit and debate this out with you all day (helpnu) but your obviously one who loves to try and argue your point to be the right one so no point in wasting my time with ya. Ive done enough of that on both posts now and far to much time given to you instead of sometihng obviously more important than your ignorant words especially when they are just repeats over and over. You speak of researching a tad, perhaps you ought to try a dictionary and thoughtful wording practice before coming to these postings, , With the way your compassion is twards others i would have to feel sorry for your family members when they have an ouch.
Do some of you people understand that some dont understand about puppy mills and simply are drawn in to buying these puppies at a store? Give me a break, I mean everytime ive went to the pet store my kids run right for the puppies. Even we went to SPCA twice and tried to adopt and were turned away because our children are under 12 and they wouldnt adopt out pitbulls to a family with kids under 12 and there were no other available breeds there that were adoptable, so yes even I was dooped by buying a puppy at a pet store. That doesnt make us any less of people. Do you think we were expecting high vet bills? No because we simply were not aware of the particular issue. How many families do you honestly think go to google and type in puppy mill? or does my pet store sell sick dogs? It dont work that way, we are normal families who simply went in and came out thinking we just added onto our family and wish to give this puppy loads of love. Sure I agree now since its happened to me that purchasing one from a pet store does make room for a mill to breed more and send out to fill that spot, but guess what, I didnt know that before I got my puppy there. No its not fair to the puppies nor to the consumer, but we are not bad people since we simply were not aware of this situation. Have a tad bit of sympothy for the ones who come here and explain their own side of something because in all honesty its not just the puppy who has suffered, my whole family has encluding my other dogs from sickness after recieving our new puppy whos breeder doesnt even exist, who god only knows may have been in one of them puppy mills. Try some nice words even if it hurts ya.
I wouldn't buy dogs or cats from pet shops regardless. Most of them come from Puppy Mills. There are some pretty scary link here on the ASPCA website http://www.aspca.org/fight-animal-cruelty/puppy-mills/
You can find quite a few purebreds in Shelters, and even more in breed-specific rescues.
