This company took $17.97 out of my bank account, when I called the phone number listed on the electronice check they provided [protected], i was told I would not receive a refund for any reason, however they would cancel future billings. they gave me a confirmation code but I did not want their serivces, nor to pay any money to them. I feel they are not being a lawful company and should refund me the money they have taken...I do not feel that they are clear in their busniess practices and are deceptive. After 4 phone calls and talking to a supervisor, I was told I would get a refund 7-10 business days. They are out of AZ and I was told that I could file a complaint with the DA in there area. There are enough complaints that they may get in trouble for writing checks on behaf of people who have had no idea they where going to debit there checking account.

Payday Loan Resource Center debited $7.81 from my checking account. My checking account line item for the debit showed a phone number so I called it because I had no idea what the charge was or who the company was. I spoke to a customer service representative who said they couldn't return the $7.81 but would cancel my enrollment and I wouldn't be charged again. He said I enrolled when I applied for a payday loan (I did not get the loan) and they sent me an email saying I would be charged unless I told them to cancel the enrollment. It is a monthly charge although I don't really understand what it is for.
I told the CSR that I absolutely did not agree to any enrollment and didn't get an email from them because I would have remembered an email telling me I was getting charged for something I didn't agree to. He basically ignored that and gave me a cancellation number.

I am waiting to see if I get charged again. What can be done to stop this company?

This company fraudulently deducted 7.99 from my checking account.
When I went to my bank they were able to give me a phone number and website. I called and after a lengthy rambling voice mail that made no sense I was finally connected to a service rep.
I explained to him I had never applied for a loan with his company. He then said, "Have you ever applied online for a payday loan?" When I responded yes, he then said, "It is in our Terms and Conditions that a monthly charge will be taken from your account until you cancel your subscription with us.
This rep would only keep repeating again and again that it was in the 'Terms and Conditions' no matter how many times I tried to dispute that this was not an approved charge.
It is obvious this company is getting names and banking account numbers from the web somehow when people are going online inquiring about payday loans.
I will be filing a fraud report.

This company is ###... First they suck you in with a "free" loan application, with the information about the recurring charge hidden. The recurring charge is for the priviledge of accessing their site with a listing of possible loan sources. Come on now, are the lenders for the financially desperate having that much trouble finding victims on their own? Anyhow, my roomate who is unemployed signed up for this dubious service. He didn't notice the recurring charge in the account, since he honestly was unaware that he signed up for anything other than to be considered for a loan. When his bank account had been to close to zero (unemployed you know) then he noticed that the account was overdrawn for a service he had no idea he had ordered. The website was useless without the original account number that they gave him (since he never used the service after the initial sign up, he couldn't come up with it). After calling two banks, and an intermediary, they were finally agreed to stop the recurring charge. But there is now over 100 dollars in overdraft charges which mounted up, and I don't have enough money in my account to cover the overdrafts and outstanding checks...
What they do may be technically legal, but I believe that the people who are profiting from this scam will be spending a very long time in a very hot place for taking advantage of people who can least afford to be scammed.

I was checking my account and noticed and unauthorized charge of $6.78 from this company. I contacted them via the internet and they said I signed up for this service, which, of course, I did not. The were rude and when I asked to have the charge removed, they wouldn't respond. I tried to cancel the membership, but it wouldn't let me complete the transaction. I am so angry! Another similar company, IDPROSC.com withdrew $31.98 last month and tried to use the same excuse! I am so sick of this. I don't know how this is happening to me but my bank account is really suffering!

They deducted two membership charges of $7.81 each out of my bank account when I never signed up for any membership. They refuse to issue a refund and you can't ever get a live person on the phone. They had previously took 31.98 the week before and I was able to get the refund a week later and now they took more money. I can't get any assistance anywhere.

I had a $7.99 charge on my checking account that I did not authorize. I tried to contact the company that charged my account and they wanted my personal information to find the charge. I refused to give them my information and asked to speak to a manager and they hung up the phone on me. I have contacted my bank but there is nothing at this point they will do.

I didn't know that I would be charged for filling out an application for a loan. They charged me $31.98 when I asked for a refund the exact same day. The debit to my account happened two days later. They said I would no longer be billed. Now they are trying to take $7.81 out of my account. I explained that I did not want the service nor did I know I was signing up. They said there was no fraud, so I couldn't get a refund.

Payday Loan Resource Center Unauthorized debit from my account;

I applied for a loan online and never authorized or signed any documents allowing them to debit my account for any membership. I read all the terms and before they let you go to the next page they have a part that says to check a box confirming that you realize that you will receive information regarding other lending companies, there is nothing there that states that you are a member of some lending company or that you will be charged, and then I go to my bank account and they debit me for $17.97 which I did not have in my account why do they think I was looking for a payday loan, and then I am charged $30.00 dollars from my bank because of the overdraft charges. I called there scam line dba customer service line and spoke to a woman named Sam White who kept saying that since I filled out an application that is why they took the fees. How can they get away with this? I never signed any documents allowing this so I am confused as to how they can do this. And when I went online to complain I see that they have done the same thing to numerous other people. Please stop them or let people know how we can stop them.

Payday Loan Resource Center unauthorized debit/rude customer service

The Payday Loan Resource Center made unauthorized debits from my account, starting in 2007. After I cancelled the debits, I wrote a letter dated July 15, 2009, to them requesting that they redeposit those unauthorized amounts back into my account. I mailed the letter and also faxed this letter to them at [protected].

No one responded after one week, so I called them on several occasions. I spoke with 2 different people and they both stated that neither one of them could process my request. I called again today, August 4, 2009, to speake with Christine or Christian Smith, a supervisor. I spoke with a Karen and another person. Both were rude an unprofessional, indicating that they could not handle my request.

I called a third time today and spoke with Karen again. She agreed to transfer me to Ms. Smith and placed me on hold. I have been waiting for over 20 minutes, to no avail. It is now 10:30 a.m. and I am hanging up and completing this complaint about this company.

This appears typical of the way they handle requests to their company, which suggests perhaps illegal and unethical behavior by them. I am resolved to get the unauthorized debits redeposited into my account. Any suggestions?

I have had the same thing happen to me. Online Resource Ctr, ID protection site, PDL Resource site and protected management have taken over $103.92 from me over the past two months. Two payment of $17.97 and two for $33.98. My bank is refunding the money and i am changing my account number. I complained to the FBI (internet crimes) and consumer fraud reports. These companies used 4 different names and when i input the web address for each company...(they were provided on the check)...they all directed me to the same website. The crappy customer service people agreed to cancel my "membership". I do not know how they got my info...but i hope to heck this stops. Continue to file complaints and hopefully we will stop them.

ON May 27th 2009 I looked at my bank account and I was charged $17.97 from a company named Online Resource Ctr. I called the phone number on the electronic check that was provided [protected]. When you call the number you listen to a 5 minute recording and then I got a live person. When you talk to someone from there... I talked with an Anne, and asked her to explain this charge. I was told that this charge was for a subscription. I told her that this was fraud and that I never authorized the charge. She said, ok, and said she will make sure that no additional charges come out of my account. I let her know that's fine, but that she will make sure to refund/credit my account for the $17.97. She said, "Oh, sorry, cannot do that" ...bye! I called back... and asked to talk with a supervisor... I was told, "no supervisors" ... and again I inquired about this "subscription" ... I'm told, oh, your account canceled, and I again said, you need to refund my account for the monies that were taken out.. again, she said, we cannot do that, bye... I am furious. I then look up this account on the web site and see already MANY REPORTS AGAINST THIS COMPANY and wonder why nothing hasn't been done. This is clearly fraud! This company needs to be reported and charges placed against it. I have filed complaints with the BBB, Fraud Unit, and IC3... I encourage everyone to file... this company needs to be stopped.

I was able to talk to a person after going through my bank to get the name of the bank were the charge originated, then calling that bank with the company ID and trace number. They referred me to the billing service that the scammers use. After being given the wrong number, I called the billing service back, and they had someone call me who agreed to stop the charges, after reading your message now I'm sceptical. I think the whole thing is very shady, I'm reporting to every and all law enforcement agency that would be interested in online scams. And I suggest that you do as well. Try to contact a local newspaper/television station, they may have additional resources that you can use. Also, try the US.gov internet scam site I was able to talk to a person after going through my bank to get the name of the bank were the charge originated, then calling that bank with the company ID and trace number. I feel thaat these companies that are thating funds from peoples accounts should be closed. It is not clear when filling out the paper work that you are telling them that you are willing to pay for any fees that the come up with. Then when you try to find out what is going on you get no where on the phone or the computer. The phone they give you is a recording and you can't talk to a real person this should be illegal.

Yep, this company is absolute ###...

And yes, my roomate is naive about internet scams, but that doesn't mean that they should be allowed to continue to operate in this manner. I intend to pursue this matter as far as I can. But the sad fact is all these people will do is simply change company name and number as soon as things start getting hot, and will be back to fleecing sheep in no time. In the mean time, I'm putting their name up in as many places as I can, and writing to as many trade commissions, FBI, BB, you name it...

Payday Loan Resource Center Unauthorized debit!

On [protected] a preauthorize debit was made on my bank account to WWW.pdssup.com 080117 for $6.78 which is assume will be done monthly since it says its a membership. I did not sign up for this membership and have no idea how they got my account #. I tried e-mailing them to resolve this issue and got no reply. I tried their live chat and given the information I was asked for he was unable to find an account for me. I was told to go to the authorities and report internet fraud, send them the report and they would investigate, they also wanted me to fax a copy of my bank statement (which I don't feel comfortable doing.) Once the investigation was complete they would refund my money. He supplied me with a phone number to call which I did. The girl would not help unless I supplied her my Social Security Number. I told her I would not give that to them as I wasn't sure they were legit seeing how they have already charged my account without my knowledge or consent. I told her I would be reporting them to the bbb and the authorities and she hung up on me. When I tried calling again I was on hold waiting for a representative for more than 10 minutes. I cannot give you the physical address or City or State as I have no membership number or account name to access the web site and that info is not available on the page that is displayed at the web address I gave you.

Please be very careful when you see this name come up. Once you are on their web site and JUST TRY to get a payday loan you will be charged. Then you will not be able to get back to that paticular web site because it goes automaticly to a sign in page and I for one never got a confirmation email from them. They charge your account 31.85 and 7.99 then when you try customer service to see if there are any other charges the "live chat" person disconnects you. The phone call I tried to make I was on hold for 15 minutes and I can not find the web site again.
Payday Loan Resource Center is a fraud and in my opinion can be classified as a "PREDATORY LENDER" and should be stopped/shut down.

sthirahara@hotmail.com: obviously not. because you will understand that the fraud is on your part, by continuing to charge me for a membership/service that I had cancelled. No one else would have authorization to withdraw funds through ACH except you.
Kelly: Subscription cancellation date Jul 10
sthirahara@hotmail.com: what about the one in June?
Kelly: Dont show any cancellation order in June
sthirahara@hotmail.com: I called and cancelled my membership around June 10-11
sthirahara@hotmail.com: and next month you wont show one for July. either. Do you understand that you are the one committing fraud by repeatedly using previously provided personal information to repeatedly take "small" amounts out of my checking account repeatedly, with different payees and phone # but for the same amount.
sthirahara@hotmail.com: and then as now you and others only offer to give me a number, but no other verification that you will no longer use my previously authorized information to withdraw through ACH until you are caught. doing this on a wider scale.
sthirahara@hotmail.com: KELLY!
Kelly: ?
Kelly: That is the only cancellation oder i show under this subscription
Kelly: As stated in our terms, if the application is proven to be fraudulent you will be refunded in full. You will need to follow our fraud resolution policy, You will need to contact your local police station and file for identity theft, once you have a copy of the report you can fax it in to us at [protected] and we will be able to provide the officer working on the case with all the information needed to trace the application back to the person that applied for it. Once it has been proven the application does not trace back to you we will be refunding your account in Full.
sthirahara@hotmail.com: I didnt apply for anything to do with a payday loan in July, so I couldn't have subscribed to your service. I did cancel a membership at a different phone # for the same amount in June under "Payday Loan Resource Center" and that is how I got to this chat. Now, do you understand my reluctance to accept that you have indd
sthirahara@hotmail.com: indeed taken my information out of your system, so I no longer am charged the "little amount" out of my checking account for a service you are not and will not provide anyway. that sounds distinctly like fraud to me.
sthirahara@hotmail.com: Kelly? Hello, because I think you have been doing this longer than just July, I'll check my bank statements for similar charges. and turn those over to the police and they will show the pattern of your fraudulent business/service.
sthirahara@hotmail.com: hello?
sthirahara@hotmail.com: hello
Kelly: Service has been terminated
sthirahara@hotmail.com: and when and how will I be assured that I won't be charged for another membership subsequent to this date?
Kelly: cancellation confirmation num [protected]
sthirahara@hotmail.com: yes and I received a 8 digit number that someone made up to give me confidence that my subscription was indeed cancelled, as well
sthirahara@hotmail.com: I don't need to follow your fraud resolution policy, I'll just turn my bank statement transactions to the police indicating the "views" of your electronic withdrawals.
Once it has been proven the application does not trace back to you we will be refunding your account in Full.
sthirahara@hotmail.com: I just checked my transactions and you have been skimming since May. Different payee but same amount. to the same place. Now, you're saying that I have prove that my identity has been stolen to prove that the fraud has taken place, on my side, when I can clearly see that the fraud has been committed on your side, because you may not know it, but you are acting in concert with those committing fraud by changing the payee on the withdrawals made through ACH, but not changing the amount for 3 consecutive months, and I'm told that the fraud resolution policy is such and such, knowing full well, that won't resolve anything. because you are the ones committing fraud
Kelly: That's all the info i have on this, .
sthirahara@hotmail.com: I have this same discussion like monthly and I'm not stupid enough to buy into the guilt and shame trip that you try to lay on your usual members. I've been having these meltdowns monthly due to your "service's" greed and avarice. you are not providing any service, you are merely harvesting information which can be used to withdraw "small amounts" of money from multiple "members" on a monthly basis. You're not a clearinghouse for payday loans, you insinuated yourself into the legitimate businesses that do make such loans
sthirahara@hotmail.com: have a good day!

update:

I reported them to the BBB-BUT they were unable to obtain a response from them so they were unable to resolve my matter. I did contact my bank and they refunded my money and blocked them from doing it again. My bank is Bank of America and it was pretty easy and they didnt give me a hard time.

this has happened to me as well. I filed a complaint against them with the BBB. If you go to live chat and ask nicely for their address they will give it to you, or at least, she gave it to me. if anyone wants their address, let me know and i will give it t0 you.
