On Dec 4 th I moved from LA to Napa. I cancelled my international dialing phone service with MCI on January 5, 2017 as they no longer offered the same deal I had in LA so decided to move my entire account to AT&T. I ordered a new service with AT&T for which I got a confirmation code.
Then, when I tried to make a call to the UK i could not so waited another week or so until the line was connected, which I assumed was with AT&T.
I then get a bill from MCI for over $666 - when I called and said this was a mistake I find out that AT&T had not connected the int dialing so MCI continued to charge me at a regular (excessive)rate. This is unconscionable. When I called and talked to Wendy Duffie in their Executive Office she was rude, short, kept repeating the same information over and over again and hung up on me. Now, it is March 14th and after trying to sort this out with both AT&T and MCI I demanded a letter about this. The letter is saying that I approved the additional billing by pressing 1 when I dialled internationally. This is a blatant lie. I did nothing of the kind. Now when I call Ms. Duffie is just rude and short. Not only is this unethical but MCI is lying about what they said or I did.
I Keep recieving collection notices on an MCI account that was obtained by a family member who got my info and MCI was notified of this years ago. Now since I can not get in touch with Afni, Inc by phone, they can now do their own paper chase and find out that MCI was given the info, and that the family member is deceased now and leave me alone.
This complaint will be followed up with and I will continue to complain until it is taken off of my reports and cleared.

MCI'S Customer Service is in Argentina & India - they speak very
little English & can do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help you but
read from a computer screen - "I'm sorry" blaw, blaw, blaw - over & over.
My Voice Mail has been INoperative for over 3 WEEKS!!! This is an
internal system at MCI & AT&T said it's easy to fix.

CA Public Utilities Commm & when I did - MCI --PUNISHED ME--
& that w/e turned off my entire system. My phone still not working

I missed a payment with MCI which was paid now each month their phone system calls me several days in advance to make a payment that isn't even due yet. I ask them not to call again for a payment that isn't due yet. 8:39AM on a Saturday AM (one day I get to sleep in) I get a call from the MCI [protected] phone#. Its MCI trying to collect a payment that isn't past due and isn't due till a few days later.
They claim its not harassment but I claim it is when they keep calling me for something that isn't due yet. They claim it's to protect my dial tone. Employees have to know that is bu!!sh8X but they tell us anyways. I was finally provided a fax # to cease and desist the phone calls but its only for 10 days. Fax# is [protected] if you would like it.
So when next month comes around are they going to start calling me again several days before the payment is due?
This is totally a case of harrassment by MCI and they shouldn't be allowed to do this to customers who's payments are not past due!
My mother in law has been waiting for her telephone line to be transfered. She's in the building next store. we (family) called the day before thanksgiving, the holidays, and its still not on today is Dec 4th. It should have been on Dec 3rd.
DID I MENTION SHES 83, LIVING IN ELDERLY HOUSING WITH NO PHONE, AND 83 BIRTHDAY COMING UP, 9 CHILDREN, WORLDWIDE, WHO CANNOT CALL HER. AND I'M JUST ONE OF MANY THE DAUGHTER IN LAWS. DID I MENTION HER BILL IS PAID IN FULL. NO ANSWERS, JUST RUNAROUND, TODAY IT WAS ITS GOING TO TAKE 24 MORE HOURS. WHY? PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE AND I'M THE ONE WITH PATIENCE AND I'M WRITING YOU.

MCI has owed me a credit balance in the amount of $8.00 for 11 months now. I have called in the past, was told the check must have gotten lost and that another would be mailed out. Nothing has been received yet. Another time I called and was told to call another number but if I did it right away, no one would be there anyway and that I would have to wait until the next day.
$8.00 isn't much, but it's mine and I want it back.
I closed an account on 6/3/08 as the number had been changed. This account was actually a number for my handicap brother who is disabled. He paid part of the bill in July and on August 2 sent the remainder of the balance. In the meantime MCI sent this account to their collections agency, (Solomon & Solomon, PC) and sent it to the credit report agency for the $11.62. MCI never sent us notice that this bill had to be paid in full because it was a closed account.
When I received my first communication on this account on 8/8/08 I contacted Solomon & Solomon PC immediately to see why this account was sent to them. They told me it had been paid in full. OK, I already new that. I asked if this account had been sent to the Credit Bureau Agency and they told me to contact MCI. To make this short I contacted MCI and Solomon & Solomon 11 times in two days and each company kept telling me to contact the other. Neither company would give me the answers to what Credit Bureau. Solomon & Solomon insisted that they never sent accounts to Credit Bureau Agencies and that it was MCI. MCI insisted it was Solomon & Solomon.
This account never should have been sent to collections. I have four other telephone numbers with MCI and they automatically take their payment each month with my credit card. I am so displeased with their service I am taking my business elsewhere.
I still would like to know what Credit Bureau Agency they sent my name and account to.
I was mugged in 2004. Everything in my purse was stolen. Someone in 2004 was able to set-up a telephone two different times in my name. I never knew about this. I followed all the right procedures notifying the credit agencies. Now it is 2008 and I am hearing about it getting harassing phone calls with threats made by someone saying they were just giving me a courtesy call.
I have been an MCI since 1981, my husband talked with an ATT representative and switched our services for approximately a week. The package he ordered was never installed. I called MCI on 9-26-07, l0-17-07,11-1-07 and 11-06-07 each time they will reinstate service within three to five working days. I have been on hold for fifty four minutes attempting to speak to operators, supervisor of each operation. How can I report this unacceptable phone service.

I'm inquiring about my billing account. Sent payment of $74.60 bringing account up to date.
In going though old files I found that my service charge started @ $39.99 including all features w/the exception of phoneguard. It has sky-rocket to $41.99 plus wiresolution and phone guard. WHY?
What is wiresolution and why do I need it?
I need deductions now to remain with this company.
Where is my yearly coupon? I need reduction. My bill is too high. I'm on a fixed income.
Please give any deduction that will reduce this high phone bill. You have my permission to do it now!!!
