Jay’s Quality Landscape (JQL) was hired to remove an arborvitae natural barrier which was old and exactly replace it. The area in question was @ 80 feet.
-demanded money up front
-doesn’t take checks or charge
-brought in 10 bushes which wasn’t even close to being enough
-wanted more money for additional bushes…which was given to JQL
-JQL was suppose to bring in 13 more bushes but brought in 10
-had a lot of excuses but never brought in the remaining 3
-the manager was continually giving an excuse about not completing the job
-gave JQL money to remove ground ivy
-took the money but refused to take out the ivy because the mgr said he wouldn’t be making enough money. JQL/mgr provided the quote all we did was pay them to do the work
-left our neighbor’s property a mess as well as our
-planted the bushes wrong and as a result 5 died in less than 30 days
-failed to put dirt and mulch around the bushes
-JQL claimed that the bushes were warranted, they were not
-left all sorts of roots in the ground that had to be removed
-took out only a portion of the old arborvitae…only the middle ones and left the rest of the old ones in
-JQL planted the bushes in a drunken line that had to be fixed
-had to hire someone to come in and replant the living bushes, replace the dead ones, remove some of the old arborvitae…still have to remove the rest, mulch, pull the roots out, fix the mess in our neighbor’s yard as well as our own, etc.
-have not yet done the ivy removal
-JQL uses a number of aliases and the address that they use is an apt.
-they have recently been banned from Angie’s List because of their unethical practice

Desired outcome: Would love to get my $ back. We know that is probably unlikely. They’re the kind of co. that will continue their practices but use a different name each time someone is wise to them. I want people to know about them
