Ideal Feet reviews and complaints
Shoe inserts
I had so much knee pain I thought I would need a knee replacement. I went to a Podiatrist who said it was my fallen arches. He said I would have to make an appointment to have my feet scanned, they couldn't do it that day. He said it would be $500.00.
On my way home I stopped by the Ideal Feet store on IH 35 in Schertz where the sales lady convinced me that their $400 shoe inserts would do the same as a Podiatrist's so I purchased a pair. I did as the instructions said and wore them for 2 hours for a few days, them 3 hours, then 4 hours a day.
After a month I was leaving them in all day but when I took off the shoes the side of my right ankle ached! It ached so much when I was driving that I would limp afterwards. The inserts were stiff but I suspected that they were flexing and not supporting my arch so I tried an experiment. I folded up a paper towel and put it under the arch of the insert to hold it up against my arch. And it worked! When I supported the arch of the insert my ankle didn't hurt afterwards!
So, I am stuck with $400 inserts that don't work as advertised!

Orthotics caused more pain, expensive, no returns.
I purchased the Ideal Feet orthotics because I was so desperate for relief from pain in my knees, ankles and feet. I was influenced because Jody Dean on KLUV 98.7 in DFW spoke highly of them in commercials. I feel I was totally duped into buying these things. They did nothing but cause more pain. The company told me there was no return on them and I would have to progressively wear them a little longer each to "break them in." This was a dumb purchase and I keep them sitting on my desk to remind me that desperation gives birth to stupidity. I was a single mom trying to support four kids and could have done much good with the money I wasted on this ridiculous product.

False Advertising
I heard the ads on the radio say that the inserts were changing peoples lifes and to come in for a free fitting with a lifetime guarantee. So my husband and I went in to try out these miracle orthotics, it would be worth the $400.00 if they worked and if they did not perform as suggested then we would get our money back with the "lifetime guarantee".
We went in and Brian fitted us, he did a balancing test, and talked about the lifetime guarantee many times and told us many stories about how well people were doing with their feet with these miracle inserts. He keep us distracted from reading any thing .At first the inserts felt different. He said that to really know if they would work we would have to wear them for 2 weeks or so and increase the wearing time a little each day. We followed the protocol .
My husband did not notice any change either way, but I could never wear them for more than an hour before my feet hurt. I really tried to make them work. I went back for another fitting and was given a softer pair. I tried to wear them for two weeks and it got so I was not able to walk with them at all and they increased the pain in my feet the more I wore them. I stopped wearing them and went back to the store to retreive my old ortothics and ask how we get our money back with the "lifetime Guarantee".
He told me to call the corporate office whos number was on the back of the receipt and this is when I saw where it was written about the "no refund".
They never called me back but E-mailed that I should go back in for another fitting. My feet are just starting to feel better after not wearing "Ideal Feet" and it has been about a month.
For someone to talk so conviencingly about a product without a money back guarantee had us blind sided. BUYER BEWARE!

With the Ideal Feet supports I have been able to be much more active. I had back pain due to the lack of support with my feet and the supports have been awesome. The fit for life program is what I like the most because anytime I need an adjustment I can go to the Ideal Feet store and they will change my supports at no cost! These are truly worth every penny.
NO REFUNDS, PRODUCT DON'T WORK
Spent $260 on inserts from Ideal Feet for my shoes to ease the pain in my left foot. About 5 hours after wearing the inserts the pain got worst in the left foot and started in the right foot. In less than 24 hours of my purchase I went to get my money back and Fred the manager said no way. The inserts was in the original condition, and I explained to him what happened. He wanted to make adjustments and the receipt you sign says no refunds. I'm out $260. Thanks Ideal Feet.

Worthless
Ideal Feet arch supports do not work, and the company does not want
to provide a refund. The deal is that they will take your money, and
that is the end of the deal. The little pieces of plastic that they
sell you might cost them $10, so that leaves them $390 profit. You can
almost tell from the constant radio advertisements that they are spending
a lot of money to sell their junk.
The arch support moves all of the weight from your heel onto the arch
in front of the heel. This portion of your foot was never intended to
support your weight. While this crude support does relieve the weight
from the heel, it is damaging to the rest of the foot.
Getting the weight off of the heel provides temporary relief to the plantar
problem, so while you are wearing the supports in the store for ten minutes
they seem to work. However, as you try to wear the supports for any length
of time, your arches become inflamed. The result is that your arch is sore
and your heel is not getting any better.
Ideal Feet obviously cannot offer a guarantee, because they know that there will never be any satisfied customers. They dont really care, because they have your money.
I understand that they might offer an in-store credit, but if the customer needed arch supports, they probably do not need running shoes.
The bottom line, from my viewpoint, is that Ideal Feet is a rip off. They have a trick balance demonstration, and they are never going to refund your money when you are not happy.

I have read every complaint online regarding these arch supports from Ideal Feet. I wish I had seen them before. My 80 year old Mom went in to buy a pair of shoes to relieve foot problems and was sold these worthless supports for $400. I guess the part that is most concerning was that they told her if she did not buy them today they would be $579 the next day. She became so confused and did not know what to do, but went ahead and brought them. I think it is terrible to take advantage of the elderly.
The Ideal Feet supports are designed to be worn a little at a time until you can wear them all day. The staff explains the wearing instructions very well and you get the instructions in wrighting. Those that complain about the mark up should check out the mark up on clothing and furniture, it is at least 300% or more. The Ideal Feet supports come with a lifetime guarantee plus they will refit you as needed for as long as you own them. Excellent products!
Stay far away
If the orthotics from Ideal Feet don't work for you, you will not receive your money back! We're talking over $400! Why take a chance? Ideal Feet does not use any medical professionals or anyone with a background in podiatry or orthopedics. Spend less than $50 and get orthotics from an Amazon store or some other source that will actually refund yr money if you're not satisfied. Oh, and, you should know: Ideal Feet resells their product! Not only are you spending an arm and a leg, you may be getting used inserts! Disgusting!

If you go to a podiatrist for orthotics you won't get your money back either. With Ideal Feet you will get free adjustments for life, plus you can use Ideal Feet supports in any shoe. For the $400 you get two pair of supports and cushions, well worth every dollar!
commercial
This is simply about your stupid commercial. You have the spook claiming that he is now driving greens that he used to be "twenty or thirty yards short of." Let's think just a second. Nobody is driving par fours, insert or not, and nobody "drives" par threes. If he was short on par threes, that's not the fault of his feet. If you're going to do a golf commercial, have somebody write it who has actually played golf.

Product does not work
Went into their store, just to be fitted and to see if there was something I can do. The Sales guy, had me take my shoe off, walk on carbon paper to get imprints of my feet. I did that.
To my sursprise, at the end, He told me I owed him $524.oo.
Ok, If that had helped me, then it was worth it. But to this day, nothing has improved, in fact, my feet hurt even more. I got inserts, Plastric, hard, inserts. My sister who lives in Oregon got the same pair over the internet for 19.95 . And I looked at her, they are the same. The color is different. I was thinking that they custom fix you. They go into the back room and get something they already have available. Dont go to this store, to be fitted. Go to a Doctor first.

You probably didn't follow the sales person's instructions. When I went in I was told there was a few days before you really felt relief but that you had to wear them for an hour the first day, 2 hours the next, 3 hours the next and so on. I followed the instructions to a T and have felt the benefits. These inserts have really helped and I have even started jogging again, after 5 years with horrible foot and back pain.
Product Does Not Perform as Advertised
My wife has suffered for a couple of years from pain in her feet and lower legs. She's been to doctors and specialists and, to date, has received no definitive diagnosis or effective treatment other than pain pills which don't work and offer side effects she'd rather avoid. I heard about Ideal Feet because they advertise on a radio station I listen to...
