Hello! I recently accepted a friend request named derrick chong 2323 from instagram. We talked and he said that he wants to send me a parcel for friendship purpose, I kept denying but I was force to give my address. Luckily I was smart enough, I gave 2 addresses one is my friend and one is my dad's. Then, a few days back, I received an email.
Hello ms. Lim zhi ting, good day... I am mr adams williams agent from fastway courier services.. I want to inform you that your parcel from engr derrick chong already arrived klia international airport malaysia on transit.. But due to clearance fees and overweight you need to pay 2000 sgd for custom charges and overweight.. Once you make the payment today we deliver to you as soon as possible.. Hope to hear from you soonest to enable us instruct you on how to make the payment... Thanks fastway courier company.
I replied, I dont have so much money. I also mentioned that both addresses given was wrong. He then threaten me. Madam we are planning to send the items to that address.. Either correct or not.. Anybody we see there must be arrested and we also have your phone number +65xxxxxxxx. I was scared but at the same time I find it weird that I will get arrested if I dont pay for the overweight charges and the customs fees, I went to research and thank god I found this website and I know that I got scam without even giving a single cent. I even found out that fastway courier does not deliver to malaysia and it is not located in malaysia.
He did not reply me for 2 days and this morning, I received 6 whatsapp voice call from him and 3 phone calls from him. But I didnt pick up because who calls people in the middle of the night? I have blocked the whatsapp contact.
