Bogus violations
I currently am unable to register my vehicle because of violations on the 91 Expressway and Fastrak. I have had a valid account with Fastrak since 2018. My license plate was not input correctly into the system because of an issue Fastrak had with recognizing a zero (0) at the end of the license plate and an alphabetical O was the default. I contacted...

A year and a half ago I drove over the bridge several times. I received a bill in the mail for $60.00. About a month later I went to the Fastrak office IN PERSON. (It was so difficult to find the actual office I almost gave up. Now they have moved the office downtown where there is NO PARKING, so if you drive a car you're screwed.) So, I gave them $200.00 cash to cover the $60 bill and establish an account with them. I asked the clerk to make sure I had taken care of everything so I wouldn't get screwed next time I register my car with DMV. I left there with the understanding I was fine. Now I get fined on my registration even though I have proof of paying everything. Go back in person. Clerk is as confused as I am. I submit dispute forms (you view them online but must print them out and MAIL them via USPS instead of submitting online). I am informed they will drop fine from $179.00 to $18.00...which is $6.00 more than the actual tolls. Spent hours on the phone and driving to their office. All for a few short trips over the bridge. While I was there, tourists from Belgium had to find parking for their rental car and stand in line to PAY the f***ing bridge toll. Totally ridiculous. I miss the people who used to work in the toll booth.

Fastrak is one big scamshow. They've recently started making unauthorized withdrawals from their clients' bank accounts. Previously, they had been authorized to make $40 withdrawals whenever someone's account balance dipped below the $10 threshold, however now they've unilaterally decided that they can grab $90 out of your bank account whenever your account balance dips below $45, which means they get to hold about $40 of each client's money in perpetuity. They're basically snatching their clients money to illegally finance themselves interest free.
the do this on credit cards too. They charge your credit card $30 even when your account still has over $15 (the threshold indicated on their website)
