too many particulars to list here - but the general picture is that their equipment is never 100% maintained and the gyms are overcrowded - not what one expects for $150/month.
the classes are very crowded - to the point of danger. and the cardio machines are so tightly packed that you brush your neighbors hand - yuck. the gym floor is hard to access dues to volume of personal trainers. but their cleaning crews work hard - the places are spotless. management is deaf to any complaint.

Eqinox fitness used to be great, now they have fired with out reason their best instructors, Gale DiPalma, Paul Epstein, etc. We are all upset and my friends and I are not renuing our membership!

Equinox will soon be a memory...
Extensive amounts of members have canceled their memberships, aside from the high price, the company is poorly managed. Extensive amounts of fabulous staff have been terminated for unjust reasons, so others can move ahead within the company. Perhaps this frequent termination policy works within the NYC clubs; however, has created a huge impact on the Long Island market/clubs, who are now successful. This is how Equinox has contributed to the Stimulus Bill...
Join or work for any other company other than this one. They are not an honest company, they are built as a Marketing scam of Fitness, especially, now that several of their members are now teaching classes & training people. What use to be quality, is no more, & is their own demise...A horrible place..
