Domestic and General Non Boiler repair

I have to agree that Domestic and General are operating a so called repair service that it actually nothing less than a scam.

I agreed to a repair service on the basis that if my boiler couldn't be repaired there'd be nothing to pay.

Well you probably guessed it! ... The engineer needed my boilers instruction manual merely to take the front cover off! and then declared he couldn't repair it. Two months later, D&G have instructed a debt collection company to recover payment for the "REPAIR"? Work that one out!

They have done this in spite of the fact that I've called them and written to them twice, confirming that they didn't repair it - but they're simply ignoring everything.

Do yourself a huge favour and stear well clear of this company - they're simply out to scam the public.

we fully endorse above comments regards D&G as they treat their customer base with contempt - we have a longstanding contract with this company regards maintenance of our washing machine - despite numerous phone calls we are still awaiting a visit from an engineer - we have been 2 weeks without the service of our machine - we spoke to Liz at Customer Relations who promised us faithfully Ray a Senior Engineer from Hoover will make contact with us on Saturday Morning and yes you have guessed it, no attempt has been made to make contact us not to mention a relevant visit to rectify the ongoing problem of a water leakage.On a previous visit a Hoover engineer appointed by D&G with the same problem, he simply cleared the Dispense Draw which he claimed was blocked by Soap Powder which my wife periodically maintains herself and did not solve the problem. We shall now contact the Ombudsman as such a service is totally unacceptable and would advise any potential client to stay well clear of this company as they are quite happy to take your money on a monthly basis but on the rare occasion you need their support or back up they totally ignore you and cast you adrift despite offering a 24/7 service. They are an absolute disgrace and a shambles.
