Cultural Homestay International reviews and complaints
Poor communication and disorganized
This is a review for Cultural Homestay International (chinet.org). Our current organization has been using them to help sponsor interns on a J-1 visa for years. Over time, we have seen a slip in performance, professionalism, and communication with the organization, in particular with someone by the name of Edinson. We recently discovered that Edinson does not reside in the U.S. either, which makes communications even more difficult, given he is located in Columbia and the time difference makes things difficult to get a hold of him. I would definitely be wary if you are looking to for a vendor to bring interns over from the United States, as the application process also causes a lot of headache and paperwork for the interns. There are some other vendors that you can research who are also more affordable and more responsive than CHI.
