Friends and I arrived at Cofi from 6:20 onwards. We placed a drinks order for approx 6 ppl (3 cocktails, 2 virgin cocktails & 1 coke) just before 7 but these arrived almost 20 to 30 minutes later. The virgin cocktails were too watered down and had to be sent back.
While waiting for drinks we ordered our mains. This took abt an hr to arrive. The waiter had to be asked twice abt the food as he was virtually non-existent. We got the standard reply of its almost ready. Eventually we were told the kitchen was shortstaffed (not acceptable to tell this to customers who have been waiting an hour already!).
The food was mediocre.
When we approached the mngr, who was totally unaware of the lack of service or the delays in the kitchen, we were told that he was sorry but he was busy with marketing. Sorry but you just lost a few customers last night & no amt of marketing will bring us back. You confirmed this by not following up once with us to check if the service had improved. I don't think Facebooking is more important than customers who are in ur restaurant.
