At the beginning January of 2023 my HVAC unit was struck by lighting during an electrical storm. I had my technician come to my residence where it was later determined that lighting had damaged the unit. I contacted my agent John Wells out of Woodstock. I paid my deductible after Allstate sent out their heating and air conditioning personal to determine the cost of repairs. I've had the Allstate repairman out to my home on four different occasions over the past eight weeks. When I call John he's always out of the office and his staff is no help. I've had to call a gentleman by the name of Levon in claims who lives in another state who is handling my claim. I've been dealing with this problem for over eight weeks now and we've put almost four thousand dollars into a three year old unit that cost me $4,800.00 to be installed brand new. My family and I live in the North Georgia Mountains and have been left in a cold house that has been as low as 47 degrees on some mornings. I just had the Allstate heating and air conditioning man out at my house this week again to repair an additional leak in the system that resulted in my unit not working again. I called Levon and he said my claim was closed and that he would have to speak to his supervisor. I never asked for the claim to be closed and I found out the case file was back dated to February 3rd so it looks like the claim was handled in a timely manner. I am over this situation and dealing with such unprofessional personal leaving my family in a cold home for several weeks when I pay my policy every year for past five year's and I've have never been late and Allstate has chosen to raise my policy by almost $400.00 for 2023. I will also Georgia Insurance Commissioner today. Your company slogan of your in good hands is a total LIE .
Desired outcome: I want my entire unit replaced Period...
