Ram Couriers — bad service, damage cargo
We as a small business company made use of Ram Couriers as our transport company.
In March, this year they transport doors and panels to a Kitchen Company in Kimberly which we have supplied for several years. When they delivered the doors and panels it was severely damaged. If you look at the photo’s attached you can clearly see the cargo was not handled with care. It looks as if the whole pallet of doors and panels fell from very high to the ground.
The owners of Kock Kitchens in Kimberley, our clients for about 9, 10 years was not happy at all because it was an urgent order for one of their clients. We took the responsibility to manufacture their order again, because of the business relationship. This time we made use of Cargo King, a local courier company and had to pay again for the transport. Invoice attached
We immediately contact Ram but they were very slow to act or respond. See letters attached.
After several emails and phone calls they react to the situation. As per the attached letter from Ram Couriers they assume it is all our fault because the wrapping was not according to their standards, but never in the past they refused to transport the goods because of bad wrapping.
We also made use of Cargo King to transport to Kimberley and never in the past had problems like this with the same wrapping.
Ram must take responsibility for the damage cargo and not try to blame it on our wrapping and pay the claim (attached) and credit the Invoice for the delivery.
