Qlimg Deer Park review: X-ray tech thinks he's a Doctor

This review is specifically for QLIMG located in DEER PARK, NY, and the Radiologic
Technologist, JOHN LUONGO. If you need x-rays taken at the Deer Park
facility and you are assigned to John Luongo, immediately ask for some other
x-ray tech there or go to another facility. Recently, I needed an x-ray
for a specific medical problem and went to the Deer Park facility as instructed
by my PCP. At my x-ray appointment, John Luongo, x-ray tech, approached
me with a slice of pizza in his hand and with a look of disgust on his face and
tells me to follow him, shows me to a changing room where I put on a paper
gown. Once inside the x-ray room, John Luongo, x-ray tech, starts
questioning me like I'm a prisoner of war, asking me all types of medical
questions about my condition. John Luongo then tells me that I need a
certain type of surgery for my condition. I then tell him that I need
this x-ray to be further evaluated by a specialist and that I'm not sure what
type of treatment will be necessary until the x-ray(s) can be evaluated.
John Luongo, x-ray tech, then began harassing me that he should not have
to be bothered with taking the x-ray(s) if I didn't there and then agree with
him that I would have this surgery! I couldn't believe what I was hearing!
John Luongo, x-ray tech, became so nasty, unprofessional, uncaring and
overbearingly arrogant with me I became very uncomfortable and wanted to leave,
but I knew I needed to get this x-ray in order to properly diagnose my
condition. Who did he, John Luongo, think he was! He is not a
medical doctor, only an x-ray tech! I couldn't believe this guy was
telling me so vehemently what I should do with my health, especially involving
surgery. Because I would not agree with him and stood my ground that I
was there only for the x-ray(s) at this time and would let my DOCTOR advise my
on my course of treatment, he became angrier with me and marched off to the
back room after telling me to wait where I was. John Luongo, x-ray tech,
came back where I was and told me how to stand while he took only one x-ray
(later found out he should have taken several). I then went to the
specialist who could not properly interpret the single x-ray as it was severely
distorted and blurry, and the specialist could not make a proper diagnosis.
QLIMG did nothing to reprimand or punish John Luongo, x-ray tech, after
my numerous complaints. I'm not surprised, QLIMG, is a joke and employs
like-minded idiotic people who claim to be medical professionals! This
was one of the WORST medical examination experiences I've ever had.
Imagine all you need to do is to go for a simple x-ray and you get yelled
at and humiliated by someone like John Luongo, x-ray tech, who has no right to
tell you what medical services you need other than to follow the written x-ray
instructions on the doctor's orders for that patient! I would never go to
a QLIMG again no matter where they're located or who their employees are there.
Do yourself a favor, DO NOT go to any QLIMG or whatever they're calling
themselves these days - go to a respectable and professional medical facility
that treats its patients with respect, dignity and a caring attitude!
Isn't that what the medical profession is SUPPOSED TO DO!
