My experience with Promises Behavioral Health was a mix of positives and negatives. The staff was supportive and the facilities were comfortable, but I felt that some aspects of the treatment could have been more personalized. The program offered valuable resources, but at times I wished for more individual attention and tailored support. Overall, it was an okay experience, but there is room for improvement.

I had to pay $500 to Promises Behavioral Health LLC in February 22. I arranged to pay $116.67 from my card, but they took 5 payments of $83.35 which is too much. They owe me $83.35, but it's been difficult to get my refund. Nobody seems to know what's happening or what others are doing. They told me it will take 6 to 8 weeks to get my money back.

Promises Behavioral Health LLC charged us for room and board in advance, which we paid on the same day. However, our loved one was discharged after only two days, and we have been unable to get a refund for the unused balance. Despite making 25 phone calls, sending numerous emails, and participating in conference calls with Sam, William, Minekiya, Jill, Paula, and others, we have been unable to get this issue resolved. We have been trying to correct the billing error since June , spending over 20 hours on calls and emails, but nobody in the billing department seems to know what they're doing. We just want a receipt showing that we have paid in full, so we can put this behind us.

My wife went to Promises Behavioral Health (aka The Ranch) and they charged $17,500 for 11/16-11/22 and $12,500 for 11/23-11/28. But they got denied because they didn't ask for an extension. Promises was told to appeal but they didn't. They gotta write an appeal or they can't charge us. They overcharged us by $3,600 and they know it but they won't call us back or give us our money back.

I paid Promises Behavioral Health LLC $307. My insurance had no deductible and I was told I wouldn't pay more than $307 for treatment. I have documents to prove it. A customer complained to ComplaintsBoard.com about deceptive billing practices. I had the same experience of receiving bills with no details. My first bill was on 3/17 for $2059. I called and was told it was an error. On 5/14, I received blank bills for $1214. I left a message but got no response. I complained to the compliance officer about this and other issues. There are many shady and illegal practices going on. It took multiple demands to get any billing information, and they didn't include all claims. Dr. *** billed my insurance three times as an out-of-network provider. I was told the 15-minute appointment for medication management was part of residential treatment. One claim is fraudulent as I didn't see Dr. *** that day. I left halfway through the program due to violations of patient rights. They refuse to give clients their records. Insurance companies paying $74,000 for vulnerable people to be abused for 30 days is a crime. Don't send your loved ones here. More to come.
