Is there anyone out there that has been successful in logging onto their site? Even when they email me a temorary password it doesn't work. So then we try forgot username...How the heck do we answer a security question when we can't see the question. This has been going on for 8 months now. Irritated.
ProudEmployee: Study up on simple interest loans before you begin to belittle people stuck with this God awful company. Here you go: Fortunately for consumers, simple interest loans are now the norm in the auto financing business. The vast majority of auto lenders do not use pre-computed auto loans and they do not use the Rule of 78s method to calculate prepayments.

"The Rule of 78s as it applies to installment auto sales is a relic of the past, " says David Robertson, executive director of the Association of Finance and Insurance Professionals.

"In today's mainstream market, that would be an absolute rarity."

The pre-computed Rule of 78s auto loans that do exist today tend to be found in the subprime market. Folks with less-than-perfect credit should be on the lookout.

johnsantander: "all of you are complaining about interest than its your own fault due to the fact of your credit being bad! thats how most of yall became santander customers in the first place. Santander only finances sub-prime customers (last chance financing)"
You have no idea what you are talking about. My credit is good. I was originally financed with Capital One and then refinanced through Citi b/c I researched interest rates and found I could get mine lowered. WE DID NOT choose Santander...and we DID NOT become Santander customers b/c of bad credit. LOL! I feel embarrassed for you as you speak of what you do not know. As a Citifinancial customer, they did away with their auto financing all together, and this untrustworthy, unwilling to provide excellent or even good customer service, God awful company now holds our possessions and credit in their hands.

I think we are just confused. If you are not a customer, not an employee, or any representation of the company...then why are you on here? I am not a "dumb ###" or an "###"...I comprehend very well, have had my job in the medical field for over 12 years, have a degree in healthcare admin, and a gorgeous, confident young woman. But, thank you for once again for showing your maturity level.

Oh well sorry for the "maturity level" remark. I have the same frustration as you and try not to stoop to this guys level. I finally got a CSR to "say" they are mailing my original Citifinancial documents last night. We shall see...
You should go for a free attorney consult. Have all of your bank printouts, etc. Consult is free...can't hurt.

I just find it funny that you think every person that has a loan bought by Santander is an uneducated, irresponsible loser. Just letting you know that even intellectual professionals are customers of this lousy ran company. I don't judge people based on their level of education, amount of money they have, or how stable/unstable their life may be. We are all humans and "most" of us have an understanding heart and we are just here to help one another. It helps to talk to other people experiencing the same problems and maybe gives people a sense that they aren't alone in this. All I see you addressing is people not paying their bills. Guess what, the majority of us do. Can you address anything else people are having issues with regarding this company...i.e. customer service rudeness, not allowing/helping customers even get onto their website, hanging up on customers when they ask for their original loan documents, telling customers to call on their due date for a deferment and then on that date tell them the company doesn't allow deferments, etc. I could go on and on. I have not had as bad of experiences as others on this board but I do feel their pain b/c I've experienced the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life. Since you know so much, where is their IT department located...Bosnia?

Yeah you just Google Santander and the drop down bar gives you nothing but negative options to click on! I've tried a few just to see what others are experiencing. Wow. And over 2, 000 BBB complaints.

Refinance with another company so you can have your loan paid off, still owe money, and then have your car repo'd. Lol! IDK this is what I'm seeing is happening from a lot of victims of Satan der.

@Johnsantander--You DO NOT have to be late on payments to have a payment deferred...at least not with any other company. I haven't deferred in over 2 years and they have pulled this crap on me. Have had the whole lost payment incident too...as well as scheduling a payment over the phone and it never came out of my account. So guess what, then it was late and late fees tacked on! How convenient!

Actually that's not true. Call and ask for your original loan documents. You will probably get hung up on. I did finally get a 3rd person to say they will send them to me. But upon calling 2 days later to verify it was being done, they had no note of it in the system and said they would now send them. LOL! Happens with scheduling payments over the phone as well. Set it up to process on your due date, then see that it doesn't come out of your account. Call back and guess what...no record you ever called! WOW! One thing I'm thankful for that I see a lot of others have been cursed with, my credit report hasn't been jacked with...yet. The loan is on there with paid as agreed...thank goodness.
