Oh hey Concerned,

Please don't forget her shouting at clients too! Absolutely bad customer service. Makes me not want to go to American Laser Centers in Clearlake again. God, I hate snotty faced managers! Koodos (funny stuff) to you Chickwithavengence for standing up for all of us! Lets hope the new manager isn't as bad.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation Gail. What I'm learning about the energy market is that no matter how "good" a company's electricity prices are, if they don't know what the heck they are doing at that company, you are going to have a miserable time being their customer. It looks like that's the case with Affordable Power.

You have to call ConEdison and have them come out to do the meter test. If they find out there is an issue with your read, they will give you a refund for your money. They can also at that point bill you using your last year's usage history.

Also you can contact someone to do a home energy audit for you. They can check each and everyone of your appliances to see if any specific appliance is using more electricity than it should.
