Just so you all know you are paying $5000.00 for a $1000.00 worth of equipment( minus install). A basic wates sofener starts at $529.00. The rest is PROFIT. A good system should cost $1500.00 or less and yes the tanks need to regenerated about every 3 to 6 yrs. Buy from a local plumber supplyer and use a trusted plumber to do the generally easy install.
