These companies exist to help the reps of some businesses out there. They can't remove anything, they simply bury it. When you think about it, Sites like these are great for the consumers, yet if some nut job gets on these sites, good companies can be crushed by the voice of some loony tunes ex employee or ex spouse.
So no, sites like these are not in any risk of being shut down anytime soon.
Or yeah almost forgot...the funny thing is that companies can pay for this service once, and if it works great! BUT... the service only extends to a one time deal in most cases ie it is not an ongoing thing or subscription...SO consumers can get back on these sites and bash companies again and the companies would then have to pay for the service AGAIN...(in most cases)...
Well, I can assure that they are not. Fact is, so many complaints come in from around the globe that reputation management companies don't need to get in bed with anybody...
