It has been another year you have got your new Maintenance Fees (paid already or very soon) now are you still singing the same tune and if so is it with the same voracity?
I'll keep telling those looking in to a life with any time share or exchange company, RUN do not drink the cool-aid, it is 2nd grade math and it does not take 90 minutes to explain
$15, 000/week owned (or more) for your points
$ 1, 200/year/week owned (and more guaranteed as time goes on)
20 years @ $1200.00 is another $24, 000.00 ( most people will only be able to vacation for about 20 to 25 years and not necessarily consecutively)
so now you take your total investment in your vacation ownership

39, 000 or about $2000.00/week (Just for your accommodations)
or $285.00 a night
Now go to Expedia, Travelocity or whatever your favorite travel site and see what you can book and some of those properties you can book online are the same ones that DRI manages along with RCI and other exchange companies and you wont be beholden to just one company for you vacation needs. Example we just recently stayed in Sedona, Az at a nice place for 150.00/night. I have always been able to get a room from one of the online travel sites previously mentioned.
The Timeshare Industry has begun to self implode, people are giving away their timeshares because they do not work the way the 90 minute presentation sells it. Save yourself and your family the money and misery of being stuck with one company and their limited (and often not available) choices.

Mr. Puffy is right! The high fees are all of our own fault because we did not exercise our right to vote and so the HOA (loaded with DRI supporters) voted to $crew everybody as best they can (Legally of course). So when you get that ballet in mail be sure and vote for that person you probably do not know and is more than likely a tool of DRI anyway. Then what Mr. Puffy DRI will still continue $crewing it's members annually.
Oh and congratulations are due Diamond Resorts International, they have now made it to the top of the complaints board list. I guess we have a voice here anyway. Great Job DRI that shows a happy and healthy client base... Hey Datrick check your parchute this baby is going down...
I still have a deed at my resort and it is not locked in to an irrevocable trust by DRI magic points. (I did not cave at the 90 minute /4 hour presentation) So when DRI crashes and Burns I will still have my Deed. I am wondering what will happen to all those folks that signed their deeds over, can the Irrevocable Trust be unraveled? I don't think so, since it is an irrevocable.

I think they are beginning to see this is a battle they are going to Loooooose! I have word two resorts in Hawaii have now beaten them off the board and taken back their resorts from DRI. There is another resort on Maui that is also beginning to get vocal too. I smell smoke DRI is that you going down in flames? What a site that will be, a historical moment I would think.

You are full of BS, you say you have won back the members money on everyone you have helped. How many people have you taken money from that you were not able to help? You are not saying much, because as you said you do not take every case that contacts you. I am guessing you only take the low hanging fruit cases like the guy who signed up in the last 5 days.

Wow Great job DRI you managed Golden Eagle so well. Did you charge millions in management fees and that is what broke the Golden Eagle. Good Job way to stand up for your members too. Mr. Duffy has not been seen or heard from since just before Christmas, maybe the rats are jumping ship.

Not in the same situation as I still own my Deed. I never bought in to the DRI magic points or threw my deed in to a black hole. But I am still funding that beast that takes over resorts. How is that fair I said no to the program they offered and they took away all of my resort privileges like traveling to sister resorts in Kaui and Tahoe and more. It is my opinion they control the boards at the resorts, so they can increase MFees through the roof to try and foreclose on as many properties. Then they can resell them to new naive travelers and eventually they will probably cash out and leave us all holding the bag o Cr@p like Madoff did, I can only hope we hold the head rats accountable.

I keep hearing DRI availability is near zero, yet I can book many of the resorts listed as DRI resorts, like mine in Hawaii on Expedia or orbits and I can book it only a few weeks out. How is it that Orbits and Expedia have availability and Diamond Resorts Does not have availability for their mystry magic points owners? Hmmmm that must be the Diamond difference they speak of at the presentation.

Again sorry for your loss, your mom wanted to do something good for you; however she did not know she was dealing with low moral, unethical, cheaters that would probably swindle their own mothers, but they do have pretty good legal council. This thread looks like DRI Public Relations rhetoric who in their right mind wants to pay 2100 in maintenance fees to some resort re-renter. Oh we like the Diamond Resorts blah blah blah you might think we are Diamond Employees or Family blah blah blah.
People it is simple just Do the math and a quick search on the Internet
2100.00/7nights =$300 a night unless my math is wrong mr puffy...
Search Expedia or Orbits or whatever you like and see what you can book for $300 per night and tell me how much better it is to try and book using magic points you bought, from what I hear many folks have a hard time booking the time and place they want. On Expedia it has never been a problem finding a room when and where I want (300/night) is not my usual rate except for an all-inclusive, but I can find a room just about anywhere.
If you have the magic puffy points from DRI and your happy with them, then why the hell did you come to a complaints board just to tell everybody what a wonderful travel deal you have with Diamond Resorts? Is that your mommy mr. puffy?
