I just finished talking to peachtree (bought out by weather seal)about parts for my Citadel patio door. The door will not open for the third time in five years. The lockset has been replaced three times and it's broke again. They wanted to sell me a bushing kit for $15.50 for my "lifetime warranty door" that I know will not fix the problem. The next step will be to replace the lockset for only $180.00. Ha! That would be fine if I could even get the door open to replace it! I explained to the peachtree rep. that I cannot get the door open to repair it and that I felt this door was a huge safety hazard, but they dont seem to care as long as they can sell more junk parts. I asked the rep. what brands they sell other than peachtree and was told that they sell crestline and vetter? I told her that was good to know, so that I know what not to buy when I rip this piece of junk out . I would have expected this kind of service if the door came from China but it did not and was not priced like the cheap piece of crap that it is. Peachtree (weatherseal) are digging their own hole, good luck with that and let me know if you want me to bring my shovel!
