Autozone places far too much emphasis on things that are barely, if at all, profitable. WITT (those stupid little packets of chemicals they want you ta badger customers into buying), checkout challange (I've actually had to talk customers out of buying a better, more expensive product and into buying whatever we happen to be pushing at the time), Parts-On-Hold (90% are never picked up-I've lost sales because of it), and the biggest money loser of them all-Check Engine Lights. CEL results in ZERO dollars for the store and just confuses and pisses off customers when you can't tell them what part they need and you're notallowed to turn the light off. I could go onbut anyone who has ever worked at Autozone already knows how sensless their practices are and how poorly they treat their people.
Wow. If you think NAPA is a scam you have probably never shopped at an Autozone, Advance or Pep Boys. They're the real scammers in the auto parts business. They sell low quality junk at inflated prices. Sure they offer lifetime warranties on almost everything but they have to because all they sell is junk. Give NAPA a chance to straighten out the problem.I'm sure you'll be more than pleased.

I know of many store managers who recycle used parts-especially batteries, starters and alternators. The company forces the stores to give refunds to customers for parts they have installed but did not fix their problem. These parts should be returned as damaged but many find their way back to the shelf. Because the stores take back so many parts it is sometimes easy to get damaged and undamaged returns mixed up. Of course if the company staffed their stores properly there would be enough personnel to ensure that things like this don't happen. It would also help if the company changed its ridiculouly liberal return policy. I know of no other auto parts store that allows refunds on parts that have been installed.
Autozone's Lifetime warranty is a gimmick. Their products are of such low quality that they have to offer a lifetime warranty in order to get anyone to buy them. Quality brake pads are warrantied for defects in manufacture not improper installation or normal wear. People like you are the reason low quality retailers like Autone exist in the first place.

Autzone will not clear CELs. It against their company policy and illegal in some states. Any Autozone employee who clears a CEL risks losing their job.

You wore the dress and tore it. So how is that Sears' fault?
