When someone pays a business to complete a service - either they receive the product or they get a refund. What the Meldrums sell, eat, drink, read, smell, talk about...That has NOTHING to do with a company being paid for a product, not delivering it and keeping the money...
The Meldrums took their money and paid My Web Pilot to produce a web site. They did not receive the website; they did not receive any files, and they did not receive a refund. That is stealing in any language - period.
My Divorce - you are desperate! You wrote a contract - we signed it - you stole my money and files! When a business writes a contract - takes 9k from a client and keeps it giving ZERO for those dollars - simply put - it is theft! Considered a white-collar crime! This may seem normal to you but it is still illegal.
