Keep calling them. I went into foreclosure in July 2009, filed the paperwork to have a loan modification in early August. I had heard nothing by October, so I've been calling them once a week, about every other week. It's now January 2010, and after calling this month, they told me I should FINALLY receive the modified loan paperwork in a week. Don't give up hope. Just keep calling them.
Yes this is a scam. Do not cash the "payment."
This is a well-known scam called a Nigerian scam. Quit giving people your money. There is no "inheritance."
You should put the company name in the red print at the top, not your own.
Never let your Ebay deadlines pass, no matter what the seller says.
Publish America is not a traditional publisher. Do an online search for more information.
If it happens to you again, tell your buyer that you will be looking for your "seller's mark, " upon return of the item. Lots of sellers buy special ultraviolet light pens, which can't be seen on the item and doesn't ruin the item. If you do get a fake or broken item back, you can prove it wasn't your original item.
Take lots of pictures--from every angle. Keep receipts of items. Send copies with the original item to the buyer.
Always send expensive items (especially over $250) with signature required, and ALWAYS WITH tracking, even for a $1 item. Always insure expensive items, and pack carefully. If the item is super valuable, like a LV purse, I would send it overnight delivery only, with signature required.
When someone wins an item, look at their feedback. Some buyers have histories of chargebacks, or other unhappy replies to sellers.
You won't lose your house or car for one missed payment. Call your creditors and explain the mix-up.
Check your order before you leave the drive-thru.
Did you ask someone to help you? They can't read your mind.
