its not about the store or the job, you live in bristol, thats enough reason to be upset dont you think
go to a decent city with a decent argos store n get some decent service, if thats too much for you to handle then stay home and order online and stop moaning
sort ur head out and get with it, as said above the extra ten pounds is a top up which is, like said, imposed by most phone networks, not argos themselves

you would be running back to the store moaning if you got 15 miles (you kidding?) and found that the mobile wouldnt work because you didnt have the credit to activate it

be happy they were trying to save you money on petrol

no wonder no one has replied to this, what an absolute mess youve posted here.
not only have you enclosed personal details of yourself and the home retail group contact, you have also breached disclosure policies!

my first question to you would be how long did you have the dvd/rc before it went funny, simply because in general Argos will only take care of faults in the first 30 days, then it is down to the manufacturer, who offers a minimum of one years care. If it was over 30 days then Argos did the right thing by sending you to the manufacturer, sorry but thats the truth.

second question, did you take out any kind of protectionor insurance on the item? if you had of done so Argos would of replaced the item and you wouldnt have had to go through all this mess in the first place. not only could you of used the Argos protection which they would of offered, im sure that you have some sort of home insurance (?) which would cover contents (?), just a thought you know

in all, if less than 30 days then argos should of replaced, over 30 days then its upto the manufacturer, my own thoughts are that if you are prepared to spend 799.99 on a dvd recorder then you need to buy the additional protections.

p.s. its only 699.99 now hahahaha

not too impressed by that response, you cant just go jumping straight to head office over every little thing. there are correct ways to handle these issues and most deffinatly these should be dealt with as locally as possible, by that I mean in store

if youre unhappy with the stockroom manager then speak directly to the manager, no matter who else you speak to its the manager who will eventually deal with it anyways. if however the manager and stockroom manager are friends, which often happens, then you speak to the area manager. if that fails you climb the ladder from there, if you go running directly to the top youre going to get caught up in some nasty games

not a single part of you thought 'lets check its all there' before you went all nutty with the black bags?

you thought that far ahead to move your clothing and move stuff out of the way that not a single person between you and your family members thought even for one second to check the parts were all there?

doesnt the entire existence of the 'flat pack' teach us all to check that you have all the correct screws and fittings before you get started!

i am amazed that you needed a carpenter to cut down the drawer bases, thats simply hilarious, not a single member of your family owns a saw? not a single relative is a fan of DIY, nobody knows anyone who would possibly be a joiner?

sent off to a carpenter, thats the best thing ive read in ages, well done

where is your old bed?

not got any friends or relatives who can store a bit of food or help you out?

you say you ordered a bed, did you order a mattress or where you planning on using the blow up on the divan? from what ive read here you didnt even have a mattress to put on the bed, now that would be even more uncomfortable!

14 days for delivery is a guideline and is always based around those willing to be flexible with their time to actually receive the goods. many people will take a few hours off work when it comes to receiving such important goods because it actually matters to them, it reads here as if you would prefer to sleep on a blow-up mattress rather than request a half day off work to receive your lovely new bed

delivery schedules are hard to build when people are crying out about being economic, the delivery services of argos have improved greatly since this and they also offer weekend delivery too

atleast you could vaccuum your home

this is what happens when suppliers cannot meet demands of the customers

thats a bit steep though dont you think, £6 a day on laundry costs! does this mean that all of your family/friends/neighbours couldnt help you with a bit of washing without charging you £6 a day!

this world is a mess when you cant let a friend use your washing machine
no matter who you work for if you actually care about your customers then you wouldnt 'spout' such garbage, you would be honest

i have a hard time believeing that they would tell you to lie to customers, it sounds more like incompetent staff (very few and certainly not all) not having the personal strength within themselves to actually make some moves and investigate a customers enquiry

whatever it told you on the system would be vague at best, and you know that by making a few well placed calls you could find out a lot more information, but no, you're ever so busy that you would 'spout' lies to a customer so you could continue your conversation

you dont work for argos anymore because you have the inability to actually assist customers

complaining about a cot and pram i can understand completly, im glad you got sorted via m&p's, but to be completly fair with you, if your set out on buying m&p goods then i dont think 129.99 is such an issue, yes its a gd bit of money, but again, just to get back to reality, if you cannot afford it dont buy it, if you cannot afford to pay out for such expensive brands then i suggest shopping a little more wisely.. failing that, dont have children, if it is such a struggle to go from week to week then im not sure it was a wise option, apologies if that sounds harsh but the most expensive thing we ever have is children and a mortgage, i dont suggest either unless you can afford it and still have enough change for over payments

you must be insane, who on earth would let such an illiterate idiot become MP!

most people, upon entering a restaurant with family, would find a table and get everyone seated before working out what everyone was having to eat/drink, at this point did you not think about asking about the tables then, or picking clean tables? instead you went ahead and got two family buckets and sat there anyway? are you crazy?

more interested in your food rather than the hygiene it would appear
