I don't nor have I ever worked at the Dartmouth store, however I have been a salesperson in the appliance dept. at a Leons store. The final bill that you sign at the counter states that Leons is not authorized to return items. Now, this is not Leon's doing it is the manufacturer's doing. If it can be fixed, they want to fix it. I don't work with Leon's anymore and have seen many people in your position. Unfortunately, Leon's "boss" are the manufacturer's, we have to have a return authorization from the manufacturer in order to return it and they won't give us that until a technician takes a look at it.
I just recently quit from Leon's and I havve to agree with you. I'm not sure what store it was from, but if it was clearly marked on the tag as well as the net, our store would have matched it without a doubt!
I used to work at Leons but don't anymore. I would assume that it was a Toshiba or a Samsung tv. If this is the case, heres how it works. Toshiba does NOT have a DOA policy keaving Leons with no choice but to send out a technician. Samsung on the other hand has a seven day DOA policy so it should have been covered immediately. It also depends on what store as there are corporate and franchises. Franchises run things a lot differently than the corporates. I'm not trying to make Leon's sound good as I do not work there any longer, just to help you understand what kind of restrictions the manufacturers put on Leon's.
My husband used to work there and quit because of the companies beliefs...Basically get it done as fast as you can so they don't have to pay you extra. And if they find that they are paying you too much, they will put you on commission so that it doesn't matter how long you work, you get paid the same amount. I would never suggest them to anybody!
The manufacturers warranty on a sealed system for this fridge has expired as they only offer limited terms. On any fridge the sealed system is only warranted for two years max. This would be one of the reasons The Brick Salespeople offer you an extended warranty. There is a reason manufacturers only offer you a one year warranty. The Brick is trying to be helpful by offering you a credit and its definately not part of the salespersons commission as there is very little mark up on appliances and electronics. The reason GE has no record of it is because they would never validate such a claim. Maybe next time, truly listen to your salesperson when they try to explain the extended warranty to you. It is not a scam as most people think! Especially now that they offer the Full Circle Value Back. Check it out it may be worth your while next time!
