Total right you are... there is nothing wrong with the Montel Health Master. But I do want to share that the pricing is deceiving. If you were to compare the blender with a real 2 hp Blender, such as the Vita Mix 4500 TurboBlend, the Vita Mix blender costs by the way only 30$ bucks more, you would fine that the Health Master has:
1.75 hp motor with 1100 watts - upgrade to 1200 watts costs you $ 40
upgrade from 60 days warranty to 3 years = 15$, the Vita Mix 4500 has a 3 year warranty
upgrade shipping time from 4 weeks down to 1 week for $ 10
and add the shipping cost to the advertised $ 199, you are then paying almost $ 300
Another confusion... many people call me after reading my report on http://www.3blenders.com/HealthMaster.html and ask me how the Health Master makes juice. They think the blender is a juicer. The infomercial is also deceiving in that respect.
Vita Mix is for example a 85 years old company and Montel is just a cover brand name / endorser of the product. Tristar sells the Montel Health Master blender.
Now, don't get me wrong, the blender is worth the $ 200 bucks, but not a penny more...made in China and the quality is just not comparable... But again, if you can't afford anything else, why not, go for it.
I have prepared a Montel Health Master Blender review on http://www.3blenders.com/HealthMaster.html
Check it out. Call me if you have any questions: [protected] - or email at lifestyle@123vita.com

What else can one expect that the company defends itself by stating the complaint came from a disgruntled Vita Mix Affiliate? If I am disgruntled why am I still selling Vita Mix Blenders? I just moved forward / on with business. It is good to know what and who are you up against.
The Vita Mix 2 hp 5200 blender model is not as good as the Vita Mix commercial 3 hp blender (1005). In fact, by the time you buy the Vita Mix 5200 blender for $ 449 plus your sales state tax (in spite of an interstate transaction), you are paying about 5$ to $10 shy of being able to buy the much stronger 3 hp Vita Mix Blender.
Vita Mix of course is defending their affiliate marketing program. If it comes down to stating the truth, wouldn't you think that Vita Mix will sue me for being disgruntled and making here serious allegations? Well, they had their 160-lawyer Law Firm from Cleveland already harassing me. It stopped last Spring.
Just remember, if you do get into business with Vita Mix, the company reserves the right for itself to not using the coupon code that they have given you, when a customer calls for their order. The coupon code number is the identification and the link to you so they know who should receive the credit for the sale. But their employees taking the call have also a sales incentive. They are not always honest. I challenge you to the task to send a few orders in to Vita Mix and then test the company if they are paying you the appropriate commissions. I wouldn't say this if I didn't know better. Yes, they will pay in many cases, but not every time. And hopefully, as the pressure here online gets stronger, they will tighten up their loose ends and run a honest affiliate marketing business.
When my 1099 form showed that I earned about $ 5, 800 more than I actually did, I became very suspicious of commission fraud. Serious enough? Of course. Vita Mix is not suing me for libel because they know I have the screen shot of my account statement. My battle with Vita Mix has been around since 2008. It won't go away. It is about justice. It is about using this campaign to attract Vita Mix buyers to lure them away to the 3 hp Vita Mix commercial blender because it is really a better blender.
In any case, I will keep selling (working as an employee of http://www.3blenders.com) the 3 hp Vita Mix commercial blenders, named the Vita Mix Vita Prep 3 / 1005.
When you consider purchasing the Vita Mix 5200, reconsider please, for $ 5 to $ 10 more, you can get a much stronger blender, namely the Vita Mix Vita Prep 3 / 1005 - 3 hp high performance blender - see our review on http://www.3blenders.com
May I please disagree with you on the subject that Tristar is the manufacturer of the Health Master Blender? It is not. Tristar is the marketing company. The health master is manufactured in China by some unknown company. The label on the Health Master Blender identifies Shahaar Industries Company Limited. You can see the label detail on http://www.3blenders.com/HealthMaster.html.
If you go to http://www.importgenius.com/shipments/shahaar-industries-company-limited.html---- you will see that Shahaar Industries Co Ltd is just an exporter. It is probably a Tristar Company since they ship all sorts of products including Pasta and import it into the USA.
Montel is just lending his name for this and is getting paid. The entire TV Infomercial is a SHOW, nothing else!
So, I hope this helps to clarify a few things.
Thanks.
I had a chance to speak with Tom Dickson, CEO of Blendtec. He explained that the new 96oz container with the 4 inch blade apparently has a new blade (minor efficient design adjustments). This new blade apparently works better and can now be used with the 13 amp blender. We need to verify this of course and we will see what the test results will be. Based on that we can then determine the Gimmick-Factor.
Thanks
In the second paragraph of our article we said: "Guess what? Blendtec wants to sue us."
Tom Dickson, CEO of Blendtec called me today [protected]) and we discussed this matter. Blendtec is not going to sue us. And if they would, it would certainly put us out of business. One of the key subjects about the sound enclosure that we manufacturer is that we have engineered it to fit the Blendtec Total Blender, Blendtec EZ Blender, and the Blendtec HP3A Blender.
These blenders need to have adequate ventilation to prevent the motor from over-heating. The sound enclosure features on the bottom right and left side a 3/8" air-vent-area, one for the inlet and one for the outlet. Tom Dickson appeared to be fine with that. Another issue was his concern about any patent infringement. Apparently Blendtec own a patent on the sound enclosure closing onto the lid, touching the lid, that prevents the lid from popping off. Our sound enclosure top lid does not touch the container lid.
We are always grateful when we can cooperate and collaborate with great factories such as Blendtec.
Vita Mix purchased the OMNIBlend V blender from us and is now investigating from their end if they believe there are any infringements. And the battle goes always on. Of course anyone can sue for whatever they desire.
The OMNIBLEND V Blender is actually a 3 hp blender which is self-compensating and energy saving. It actually has a better and stronger blending torque than the Vita Mix 5200 blender.
More update coming soon.
Besides the rusty blades, besides the difficulty opening and closing the lid, besides the bearings in the blade assembly releasing brown liquid (rusted out), besides the reset button not always working, besides the safteypin mechanism breaking easily, besides the $ 200 tickle price and ending up costing nearly $ 300, it is really not a bad blender, that Montel Williams Health Master...
Who are we kidding? Do you your homework with anything you buy. OK, errors and defects... but not taking care of it? A company can forget it. It will never recover from the damage it did to itself by not taking care of its customers.
I sell new blenders to the market "the OMNIBlend V 3 hp blender". Although I tested the blender and although there is a 1 year factory warranty on the blender motor, container, and blade for labor and material, customer service needs to go beyond a warranty. Don't you agree? If something is defective, fix it!
Funny thing, we have reviewed the Montel Williams in several articles I wrote; consumers often call me asking me where to return their Health Master Blender, thinking as if http://www.3blenders.com is the Health Master HQ.
Thanks for all your comments.
Thanks for your comment.
I am glad, what it looks like, you like the Blendtec container and their blenders. The 96oz jar, according to Blendtec (a road show demonstrator in Salt Lake City), the only benefit of the 96oz Jar with the 4 inch blade is that you can do bigger portions. The blade velocity at the tip of the blade is truly faster than the 3 inch blade. But the horsepower of the blender is still the same and a bigger blade also has to overcome more resistance.
Bigger is not always better. Different consumers may find different benefits for themselves. In my experience, very few consumers however find a good use for 96oz jars. 64oz Jars are already too big for most applications. You blend portions that are too big when you actually need less for adequate consumption...thus over-eating... And of course there are consumer that make large portions of apple sauce, and other kinds of blends / projects for which a bigger jar comes in useful. But that is rather the exception than the standard.
Again, you made a good point. I would like you to consider that factories are in business to compete and make money. No visible and proven changes were made to the 4inch blade and the blade has been on the market for commercial use for nearly a decade prior to the 96oz jar home use introduction. Prior to that, it was only to be used with a 20 amp blender.
Best Wishes

thanks for your feedback on this subject. The CFO Laurie Connors is indeed the CFO at Vitamix. Regarding infringement and patents... did you know that patents are filed day in and day out without proper justifications. just because you have a patent does not mean you should...
Your approach is right, why would vitamix send me a letter and not their attorney? It is because they try to intimidate me without spending any further unnessary funds. They know that Switzerland cannot be had cheaply. There is something wrong... Vitamix and others constantly interfear with competitor's business by threatening and actually filing law suits against them. And who ever has more money winns. It is a politics power game. To the other hand, it also matter, who gets hurt the least wins also. I have and I am continuously collecting law suit threats and intimitation started by bully vitamix. I believe I can proof a serious antitrust law violation. vitamix seeks appearently to intentionally interfere with competitor's business as a method to control the market.
another issue: the cost factor, for example, if vitamix was to pursue their patent infringement case, I would handle the law suit myself under the supervision of 3 patent IP attorneys, who are my friends, who have agreed on guiding me at no cost. vitamix would actually stand to loose at least 1 patent. did you also know, that there is no use in filing a patent? If you have one, you have to always defend it. And, what vitamix claimed the OMNI would infringe on is not even superior... the OMNI actually being more improved.
also, Vitamix has not defended their patent against other companies' products with a simular issue (noise and cooling patent). see my website under 'choose'. http://www.3blenders.com... you can see images there that show the differences of the the airf low for cooling between the OMNI and vitamix. Vitamix claims that these are substantially similiar. my point is that so are cusineart, health master, kitchenaid, waring, blendtec, etc... who have not beeen sued. all blenders are substantially similar. why then would they sue me for the OMNI?...
and then we would have to define 'substantially similiar'. According to my investigation online and my reviews, I have found that the OMNI blender is actually not substantially similar to the vitamix cooling and housing noise reduction system. the air is forced through the motor housing differently, totally differently, than with the omni blender.
the omni blender is also much quieter than the vitamix blenders. vitamix 3hp at 99dB and OMNI at 85 dB.
and also to your info, the blades of the omni are very different. the fact that they fit on another blender is not a violation. Imagine, if you are familiar with the firearms industry or with the video and now with the dvd industry, you can quickly see where it might lead if one judge were to rule that no other brand or after-market container is allowed to fit on vitamix. soon this ruling could affect a lot of industries, even the tire industry, one size and one brand fitting on a different brand rim... I am pretty positive that vitamix does not want to touch this subject.
Also, you may wonder abou the vitamix bpa-free eastman tritan container issue... they appear to make this look like as if the co-polyester eastman tritan material is their's exclisivelys. It is not. the material is manufactured by a thrid party company. Just like vitamix, I too can buy this material and make containers ... if I wanted too. and that is not an infringement of any sort. It would be, if I named my containers "vitamix" also...
I hope this hypothetical discussion makes sense to you.
We are surrounded by corruption. Those who do not join in to fight it are part of the corruption. Please stand up for your rights. Companies such as Blendtec and Vitamix are bound to take away our rights of free enterprise. I cannot let them win. they think I am fighting about my business. I could care less about that. It's about much more, it's bigger than me.
best wishes
follow up. I called capital one auto finance today. they said they sent my title to me on april 22 2010. I never received it though and this company was unable to provide proof that they sent it. I response to my question why they would send such an important document by regular mail, they said that i had not specifically asked for it...
what is wrong with this picture?
Thanks Tim. I am familiar with the Monsanto issue. This is one of the cases that actually drives me and should all of us (consumers) drive to stand up against. If we don't we are bound to eat GMO's whether we like it or not. Everything will be theirs by way of wind... My point, just because they have a patent does not mean it is actually a patent that should have been issued. It has to be challenged, and it can be taken away...it will cost big bucks, however. The IP law suits cost millions. I don't have the money, and that is why I am fighting on the internet. Consumers rule! It's a dirty war, David versus Goliath. I promised Vitamix that every threat they send me, I will post online. I told Blendtec CEO Tom Dickson, when he last called me February 2, 2010 with his latest hopeless attempt of stopping my business that I will not fight him in court. He called me to help me save money. I was surprised that he would be so kind. Then he said he won't sue me if I take down my website... What do you think that does to a person? I just hope there are still enough good people on this world to save us from destruction.
The 5200 is surely the blender to get to return to costco if you bought it there. Why is Vitamix selling them refurbished for $ 379? how many can a factory have refurbished? Who is returning them and why? The 3 hp commercial blender cools better and as Vitamix says it themselves, you can demand more from it. just go to my videos on www.3blenders.com and see for yourself.
regarding household use of the 5200 vitamix blender, it measures 99 dB equally noisy as the Vitaprep 1005 / 3 hp commercial blender. Another 5200 problem... how many refurbished blenders can a factory possibly have? If you check on Vitamix.com, they have been advertising the 5200 refurbished straight without any limitations. Either a lot of people are returning them or they can't sell the new ones and re-designate them as refurbished. Either way, I ask "WHY and Whats wrong with that picture?".
You can't tell me I am wrong. I have been in this business long enough. Don't get me wrong, I like the Vitamix blenders, I use them myself. The company is however very dishonest and misleading.
In addition, they steal commissions. You wonder how I can just plainly make such a strong accusation here in writing on line, and that without Vitamix suing me for libel? Yes, I can and yes I will, I have the proof and Vitamix knows it and that is why and how I have not been sued by them even until this time. It is actually Vitamix's way of admission of guilt.
Back to the sound enclosures, sound enclosures are not necessarily important or necessary. The ones that I have been producing reduce the noise level by about 25%+. That is really not a lot, but it helps wherever possible.
And the warranty issue, the guy C. Morgan from above is right, totally right, the 5200 needs a 7 years warranty while the 3 hp commercial blender will not. And in either case, Vitamix is a pain in the butt if you have to deal with a warranty claim with them. Vitamix wants you to buy the residential 5200 model so bad that they will even annoy you about it once you have bought the 3 hp blender.
Vitamix makes about $ 150 + profit on the 5200 due its direct sell strategy while on their 3 hp blender they maybe have a 40$ bucks gross profit margin. Go figure. It is smart of them trying to push the 5200 more. But from the consumer standpoint, what is best for them?

Subject: Jar sizes- Blendtec
Dear Mr. [REMOVED NAME],
Thank you for your time on the phone yesterday. I appreciate your use of our products and was glad to hear they are doing a good job of handling your blending needs.
I am sorry for the misunderstanding about the relative sizes of our two available jars, but again I can state emphatically we have not tried to intentionally mislead anyone or be deceptive. As I mentioned in our conversation, the benefit of the larger nearly 3 quart jar, which we have named the WILD SIDE, is from the performance of a larger blade and the patented fifth side of the jar which shifts the blending vortex and creates a better blending result. It is only marked to 44 ounces because it is not intended to be filled to full capacity. The name three quart jar was originally derived from the relative size of the jar and its approximate volume without a blade. It was a designation that probably came from our engineering department and just stuck as it was put into production and had to have a name to distinguish it from the smaller jar.
We have now named the large jar a WILD SIDE jar, and applied for a trademark. The name 3 quart is being discontinued in our literature and our websites and will be replaced with WILD SIDE for the larger jar sold in both our residential and commercial channels. (I have attached a brochure which is used commercially and talks about the WILD SIDE jar.)
As promised I asked our engineering department to clarify the volume the smaller jar holds when filled to the top and they have told me it is approximately 78.5 oz (without the lid being put in place). That is still closer to 2 quarts than 3 quarts (hence the name 2 quart jar) and the naming of the jar pre-dates my time with Blendtec, but probably again came from an engineering designation that became common usage once the jar was put into production. This jar is only marked to 32 ounces and as with the larger jar, it is not intended to be filled to full capacity during blending. We are in the process of changing the designation of the smaller jar to call it our standard jar in all literature and on our websites. By calling them respectively, the standard jar, and WILD SIDE jar, instead of 2 quart jar and 3 quart jar, this will remove any possible reference to their relative approximate capacities and should help avoid possible confusion in the future.
I hope this explanation is helpful to your understanding of the naming of our jars. It has not been an issue in the past, and as mentioned, in the over 4 years I have been with Blendtec this is the first to my knowledge that there has been any type of customer concern. But, I still stand by my promise to offer a full refund for the jars you purchased if you still feel you were mislead and purchased them because of a misunderstanding and don’t see the performance benefit I described earlier. Since you purchased your first jar from Costco and the subsequent jars from threeblenders.com, we would just need to determine a feasible way to handle the refund.
Thank you for your correspondence and if I can be of any further help please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Regards,
Jeff

Thank you "lastfourtime" for your comment.
I sell Blendtec, Vitamix and OMNI Blenders... I do whatever it takes to uncover the truth - no gimmicks, to show all pros and cons of blenders. The Blendtec and Vitamix blenders are great blenders, both of them. I favor the Vitamix blenders because they are in my opinion sturdier built. And while I do favor Vita Mix, the company fights with me. And while I sell also Blendtec blenders, Tom Dickson fights with me...
Yes, Vitamix blenders cost more, and the Blendtec HP3A or Total blenders cost less and are also very powerful, but are not as well built. You can see some closeup pictures of motor and housing etc... on www.3blenders.com under CHOOSE.
I understand that my tactics are concerning to some people, especially to those, like lostfourtime, who do not identify themselves. When you say the truth, those people who usually try to deceive consumers feel most offended by it. The OMNI Blenders are less costly and are very attractive because of the price point at $ 250 and blending with a 3 hp blender, and being every bit as good as Vitamix Blenders and being Vitamix compatible. And yet I still sell Blendtec and Vitamix Blenders.
I know that I don't know everything and I certainly am always interested to learn. Best wishes to all. Keep criticizing me! It is a good thing.
i have to add that I finally received a lean release from Capital One. That was like 10 weeks after payoff.
Hi, you don't have a lemon. They all shut down like that to prevent over-heating.
You are right, Vitamix could you accommodate you. But they are Vitamix, they boast about their invincible product a lot.
I sell the OMNI V 3 hp blender. You could get just the blender base and then fit your Vitamix container on it.

totally a scam! If it is too good to be true then it usually is. Don't pay anyone any money for processing you winnings. And think about it, why would you win something in a lottery that you have no memory off participating?
