About 5 years ago I took a job at patrol one while I was attending college. I showed up for my first night and I was shocked to see 95% of the people that work there are extremely limited mentally and most came off like criminals. Some of the employees did get kick backs from the company and the goal of the patrol drivers was to tow cars no matter what. I was also told if you didn't tow cars you would be fired. As far as "patrol" there was none as soon as they gave out a couple of tickets and tows they left. Sometimes they wouldn't even patrol, they would just go to the guard house, sign something and leave. I knew my first night would be my last but I stayed through the first night just to see how this shady scam worked. Talking to these patrol drivers was like hanging out with gang members. At the end of my shift I was told by the lead gang member patrol guy that I needed to clean the patrol car and his patrol car off the clock. I had enough by this time and just laughed at him. I was called later that day by the human recourse guy who I am pretty sure is part of al-qaeda, he tried to threaten me he was going to call the police and have me arrested if I didn't return the used uniform shirt I had. I again laughed and told him I will be calling my uncle who is a police detective in Orange County. He then hung up the phone on me and again when I called him back. They never paid me for the one day of work and then two years ago I get informed of a class action suit against them won by former employees. I would never live in a place that did business with this company, It's no different than going down to Santa Ana and hiring a gang to patrol your neighborhood.
