I too have had nothing but problems with a GE Profile washer (Model WPRB8050D1WW). Purchased the machine 3 years ago. Past December flooded basement due to leaking seal which caused transmission to lock up. Had to replace transmission and motor. Warranty covered parts but not labor. Was March getting repaired due to incompetence of GE service department and their licensed repair contractor. Late June basement flooded again - same problem. Technician replaced transmission and motor. This time GE agreed to cover parts and labor. Washed one loaded and machine was leaking again. Contacted technician and he said outer drum and a couple of rings would have to be replaced. Waiting on parts with laundry piling up. After machine is repaired will donate to Goodwill and purchase LG. Have owned GE products in past but never again.
