Karen would not let us come to her home either. Out bulldog was handsome but only grew to be 39lbs and seemed to have developmental disabilities. He was afraid to make eye contact and didn't ever pick up on potty training. I had another bulldog who was very well mannered, house broken and k ew some tricks. Usually the pups will be easier to train when there is a well behaved elder dog for them to learn from. If your puppy is from karen silver then forget it. I also felt compelled a few months later to rescue a bulldog from her bloodlines that had a owner who was supposedly gravely ill and had 5 bullies. I agreed to take one and she talked me into one that I hadn't chosen saying she would be a better fit with my 2 boys. She got to my house and wanted to tear into my oldest bulldog any chance she could get. I eventually had to rehome her to someone who had no other dogs. Oh and surprise...she was full grown and not potty trained either.
