The Amana looks to be the same as the Maytag Ice20 (MFI2560AEW). It's at least in the same family, and they all use the same High Voltage controller board (it's programmable for the different models). My Maytag went out tonight with the lights flashing, and the door to the ice maker repeatedly opening and closing. I repaired the board myself using instructions posted online. It's a 20 minute fix replacing 2 capacitors (very easy to do if you're reasonably good with a soldering iron). Total cost: around $5.00 for the capacitors and a trip to the local mall and Radio Shack.
Amana and Maytag are both really Whirlpool. If you call customer service for each you get the same automated phone response with different welcome messages.
