Lexington Center seemed to have gone downhill through the years - I have attended in different episodes due to my issues. Many of the counselors seem to care, yet some just seem as if they are just doing a job and have little empathy for the clients they are caring for. I have had several counselors there, but there was one that I had a lot of respect for because he showed a lot of care and compassion for us while being very knowledgeable about the much deeper issues that lead to addiction, way beyond what the textbook tells many of this counselor how to approach addiction when many of them have never gone through addiction themselves. His name was Jason Baylor (or Bailor?) and I have a lot of respect for him. I was sent to speak with a Supervisor at one point due to an issue I was having and she acted like she was working for a large corporation and had very robotic approaches, both verbally and physically, while showing know empathy at all...it felt as if she felt as if she was "better than" and looked down on the clients. I believe her name was Halina. My other complaint about them is that they seem to be rushing constantly and caring more about the paperwork they have to do instead of the actual needs of the clients.
